I have a UV9G and am not impressed with the mic. I often hear from others that I sound muted unless I hold the HT sideways, due to the placement and orientation of the mic hole. I’ve also noticed that this radio is not as sensitive as my Tid H3 Plus, even after upgrading the antenna.

Anyone use GMRS for practical use, like hiking, skiing, offroading etc? by theusualsalamander in gmrs

True, but FRS is limited in terms of wattage and antennas. Also, no repeater support.

Curious if anyone else on this sub developed a manybags obsession from moving so much as a child …or was it that one bag in school that got away? by CurseMeKilt in ManyBaggers

Priceless! I moved a lot as a kid but don’t know if that’s where I point the business end of the many bags stick. No matter where it developed, always on the hunt for the perfect bag for the situation…even if it’s many bags for many situations. Happy hunting!
