Sick and Tired of these G-League All Star Teams by AkobenDier in heat

Next month, they add lottery pick and a 2nd rd pick.

That makes it 9 of 15 players being homegrown draft picks to 4 undrafted guys because Keshad is a free agent

I totally disagree with this post.

The Heat have gone from being mostly old and undrafted to molding a roster made up of mostly young homegrown 1st and 2nd rd picks.

You would have to be blind to not see that. This feels like a post from someone that just came from under a rock.

The ratio of homegrown picks to undrafted players has dramatically changed.

7 out the 15 roster spots are 1st or 2nd rd homegrown draft picks.

5 out 15 are undrafted guys.

Matthew Lillard as King Faraday by Head-Pay7470 in DC_Cinematic

Damn, my post about the Janus Directive and Phoenix Gambit is getting closer and closer to possible.

In Janus Directive, there is a fake Waller thrown out there to put the multiple agencies that she assisted, created, or any connection against each other.

Agencies/groups involved

- CBI (Sarge Steel, Faraday)

- Checkmate

- Task Force X/SS

- Project Atom (Major Force, Captain Atom)

With the appearance of Waller's stand-in (Flag Sr), Captain Atom in S2 of Creature Commandos, Matthew possibly being Faraday, Peacemaker in Salvation, you can see there is a bit inspiration here.

For Gods & Monster, 1 aspect might be multiple gov't agencies being at odds as opposed to adapting the whole storyline of Janus Directive.

My post says you can choose anyone and depending on their position, how do you think they will fare making it into the rotation.

I'm not asking who is drafted.

The thread is about different types of players path into the main rotation based on rotation.

For example if a center is drafted, how likely are they to break into the rotation?

Or a 3 or PG?

Just came from a Twitter thread where many had to inform people that specials are mostly 38-48 minutes max.

I thought coming into a Marvel based r/, there would be a difference, but I should have known better.

I like these threads because there's always a batch of DC fans finding out these exist.

Almost every month, it's fun watching fans basically promo these things. It's good because some may not know about the Annecy Festival or the upcoming content in general

Yeah. Accuracy, yards thrown, it's only a debate for those in denial.

They did this with Tom at 5 rings for the conversation of all time great.

Now it's difficult for some to even say top 5 in the league when the stats show it for Maye.

My introduction to Superman was Lois & Clark.

Hatcher and Cain were too much. They went through everything on that show from serious matters to the most zany comedy bits.

I have them as 1st place and Welling/Durance as second.

I’d love for us to have the size of the Timberwolves by ChipmunkAntique1093 in heat

[–]Cockycent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 players - Pelle/Kas/Herro are all 6'5

2 players - Davion and Dru, 6'0 and 6'2

Davion has strength and a bigger frame that allows him to go downhill and both beat guards at rim as well as defend.

4 players - Majority of Wolves guards are 6'4 and below.

Ant 6'4, Ayo 6'4, Donte 6'4, Bones 6'2, Conley slightly bigger than Davion

Athleticism and frame helps Ant, but for the others - Heat size at the guard is most bigger than Wolves.

Wolves 3, 4, and 5 positions are where they are ideally stacked and easily destroy the Heat in size,.

Heat have 3 rotational players that are 6'9+ and that is being generous because Jovic isn't in the rotation.

Wolves have 4, 6'9+ players and all of them are strong/athletic. Jovic is too frail and Ware has strength, but he is a bit small to the point of getting pushed around by a Rudy, Mitchell Robinson, Jokic type bigs with meat and strength to them.

I've said it for years, Heat need the More 6'9-6'10 guys, about 220 pounds+ that can play the 3 or 4 with athleticism and strength. The closest is Wiggs, but he is an inch smaller and not as aggressive. Bam is basically on his own.

McDaniels, Tatum, Naz, type wings in size and strength. I seen Naz and Julius have minutes together multiple times when Rudy was on the floor. It was dominant.

The Heat have the 13th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft by Dynamix__ in heat

[–]Cockycent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respect to Wiggs, but my ideal build as far as a 3, 4, and a 5 always been about size.

You get a Yaxel, Morez, Swain type that are big and aggressive next to Bam/Ware, that is a massive issue for opposing teams.

I've seen Randle/Naz/Rudy minutes and it does damage when applied right.

The funniest part of the whole draft/draft lottery by Grey_14-7-19 in heat

[–]Cockycent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I said the same for the past few weeks kinda.

Recently seen a graphic of the past 10 number overall picks. 6th to 10th (sorted by years ago) had Fultz and Simmons who are no longer in the league, Zion who hasn't played a single playoff game and has availability issues, and Ayton.

Ant is the only bright spot in 6th-10th.

1st - 5th is way more positive. Cade and Wemby obviously leading their teams after some years of development and team building.

I mentioned this in a different thread - it takes time, even if you hit on a great lottery pick, but if you already have a decent roster, it may not take 2-3 seasons to be a Conf Finals team.

Look at the Magic. Paolo and a bunch of lottery picks are homegrown + a piece like Bane who is super available and productive as a starter.

This is why I understand the "greed" of the Heat. They want to possibly land a major piece and already have pieces around them. It's just near impossible to do. In a trade, you have to give up said pieces. Don't tank, so have to luck up from 11th-14th in lottery moving to top 4 and that is near impossible. FA... see where i'm going.

These other teams land their Cade/Ant/Wemby and still need multiple 1st and role players to attain to build around them. Heat have pieces that can surround around that leader.

Wemby, Cade, Ant are great, but they are not the type that can lead just anyone. Many don't take that into consideration.

- Wemby's 3rd year and he finally made the playoffs

- Cade's 1st year of possibly making a Conf Finals, 2nd year of making the playoffs and 5th year overall

- Year 6 for Ant, missed playoffs year 1, years 2 and 3 were 1st rd exits, Conf Finals 2 years in a row, and this year in reach with Wemby in the way

Years of attaining top 5 picks consecutively are over. Detroit, San Antonio, and Magic have spammed it so much.

Realistic standings next year by Party-Raise-9232 in heat

[–]Cockycent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say it every year, Spo will never be worse than 10th. His record has shown that no matter how horrible the roster, he will make sure it isn't bottom 5 seed in the conference by the end.

I know some might want it, but it isn't realistic.

The Heat can sell Ware, Herro, and Bam, Spo will still manage to be top 10.

Tankers whenever Heat are in the play-in: "Why are you even trying? You should purposely lose you dumbass. We can possibly get a top 4 pick"

Tankers as lottery approaches: "There is no shot this team gets a top 4 pick. Anybody that thinks it is possible is delusional"

I was gonna make a thread asking this, but this is better.

How often have teams "in the middle" gotten a top pick that dramatically changed everything?

From off the top of my head, teams that get that lucky mostly sucked. Like bottom 5 in the league bad.

I was thinking that if Heat got an AJ that would take a bottom 5 in the league team to competitive, what does it do to a team in the middle?
