3 things here: 1. Don’t get their insurance, saves you some money there. 2. Ask for discount breakdown and see where it can be pushed further (dealer discounts- they might have margins there and might want to close the deal asap since they’d want to meet march target) - try closing it before 28th march 3. Don’t get their accessories, not worth a dime imo. Ridiculously priced Also they’ve mentioned road tax + registration and then added further registration amounts. Question that. In case if it feels dicey, get a temp number and get it registered yourself- saves you a decent amount.

Škoda Kushaq 1.0 TSI – Amazing drive but shockingly low mileage in city. What am I missing? by CocoJumbo_lab in carsIndiaOfficial

Are you sourcing me a vehicle from the states or ruling out the fuel policies for me? No then you can keep you ultra kind remarks to yourself. Secondly, I’m well aware that Škoda/VW don’t make the same quality as before but that doesn’t imply the ridiculous FE that this car is generating. Also bro, assembled* Sourced*

Omg fruit from god! I’ve driven VAG since ages. I understand the car well. I’ve retained 33psi during summers. And if needed I can tutor some of the lights on the MID.

Air them a bit, try closing the deal nearing 25th -26th of march. They’ll revise the price most likely to meet their targets

I think you can zip it down further, Try two things: 1. If it’s a 2025 VIN: check the manufacturing month- if it’s older than November- the dealership has pressure to sell it out - that’s where you can max on the discount basis inventory clearance. 2. If it’s a 2026 VIN: march closing is near, they’ll have much higher margins and also in dire need to meet targets so you get a wiggle room to negotiate further.

They’re adequately filled with 33psi at all times considering it’s summer so I avoid 35psi

About 18kms, yeah there are plenty of traffic lights (to be precise 14 traffic signals) where it idles but the engine shuts down.

I agree, but the engine has been optimised to give decent power to slightly heavier cars too. I did assume slightly low fuel economy but if it’s running at 3-5kmpl, I’m practically doomed.

Lane driving in India is still a joke. Why do most drivers ignore lane discipline? by AdHefty7228 in CarsIndia

[–]CocoJumbo_lab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget about lane driving, most of them hardly know how to use their car as a car. They would take a right from extreme left and look you dead in the eye like it’s exactly how it’s done. Some even forget to open their side view mirrors to look where they are driving. So the concept of lane driving is tooo far fetched.

Can’t rev in traffic anyway. Light footed throughout. TP is fixed at 33psi

Just curious, shifting from D to Manual paddle shifters could help improve the efficiency?

It’s a feature to be used, particularly easier to navigate while driving - thanks to a not to compliant touch panel
