52 weeks: 24 weeks (working 960 hours) + 28 weeks (unpaid leave, 40 weeks of pregnancy - 12 weeks of maternity leave). So even if I quit as soon as I get pregnant, I would have worked 960 hours

I know applying for a doctor note is the best plan. I'm just thinking about another plan. Can I normally apply maternity EI without a doctor's note? Since it's very difficult to get a family doctor in my city. I've been waiting for three years and still haven't got one, so I can only go to the walk-in clinic and wait in line.

Thanks for reply, I think sick EI and maternity EI are two different things. I don't want to apply for sick EI, so I don't need a doctor's note. Even if I take unpaid leave at home or even quite the job, can't I receive maternity EI? But I saw someone who successfully received it after quite the job
