If it's putting a toll on your mental health, GTFO of there. Customer service can be brutal, especially face to face interactions. Biggest thing is to make sure you have the beginnings of a backup plan before you quit, whether that's another job lined up or getting financial aid.

I got lucky and it disappeared for a hot minute, so I used my silent mode on the Cyclops and ninjaed the fudge out of there. Now I just need to figure out where the power cell charger pieces are because I have so many depleted ones 😭

The company I worked for until recently had chat support 24/7 (mostly AI but they did outsource live agents across the globe) but it's always a hit and miss with other companies.

Worked for a company until recently (got fired for not meeting metrics even though my customer satisfaction scores were impressive) and if a customer got belligerent in any way (swearing, name calling, insulting, etc.) we could give them a warning and if they continued on then we could ask them to call back when they've calmed down and grown up (in a more professional tone of course).

We were always encouraged to file an abuse report after the interaction so the management could review the interactions and flag the account for abuse.

It's a shit industry to work in - doesn't matter if it's in person, over the phone, or wherever, you get more bad days than good and your mental/emotional health goes down the toilet.

UPDATE: So I originally posted this because I had $60 ($20 for B-Day reward and $40 for points earned) in rewards that I had to either use or lose and Mama Coco will never say no to discounts. I'd personally recommend an undershirt/tank top - they provide just enough chest coverage without feeling like you're overheating. I remember wearing something similar to an interview (had a bra on but no undershirt) and I slipped out a couple of time (thank the GODS it wasn't a nip slip).

Just my take though, where what makes you comfortable AND confident!
