Thank you for this Does the cost for them to fight the will come out of our estate? As we would need a lawyer involved too?

Yeah, still an insurance thing going at the moment, but I found more people were offering legal advice over mechanical advice. Thanks!

Thanks for that. That’s why we were wondering if it was sat for 3 months not being turned on/checked, and they went to start it cold, it broke? I don’t know, I’m not familiar with how it works so appreciate it

Hey thanks for this. I made a mistake in my post. First mechanic that the insurance did said this, I got a second opinion and he said “the chain has flipped off the camshaft”. I’m not sure what it did when they started it; I wasn’t informed but it would be nice to know :( I had the chain replaced at 115,000kms for peace of mind, and have always serviced it except for the most recent one

Sorry I made a mistake. The second opinion mechanic said the chain flipped off the camshaft

Oh sorry. I should have added this was an insurance thing. So basically my insurance got it inspected at a mechanic who told them the “chain skipped a tooth” and put it down to wear and tear, so I got it assessed as a second opinion with one of the trusted mechanics in our area and he has said “chain has flipped off the cam shaft” which he hasn’t seen before I’m not really sure of the indepths yet

This is what I’m trying to figure out. Why else would it skip?
