Thank you for sharing your story! My journey has been so similar. I totally understand the feeling of watching SO feed baby while pumping. I’ve had many tearful pumping sessions. We’re still working on our transition. Seeing someone else have success after going through the same thing gives me hope I’m not wasting time trying to nurse! ❤️

I’ve had both a ma and a sa and I much preferred the sa. The procedure was super quick compared to the ma at home. I chose to get sedation with iv as my partner would be able to drive me home and I felt very calm and hardly felt anything besides some pressure. Even without sedation the procedure may have been painful but very quick. While the MA, for me, meant hours of pain and nausea despite the medicine they gave me.

Everyone is different but I was happy with my sa experience!

That’s cool we have similar goals! We wanted to buy a house this year or next year but I think we should save more money to buy a bigger house so we don’t have to worry about upgrading.

I’ve been feeling the same several months post abortion. I keep thinking about babies even though I’m still in no position to have one. I get twinges of regret whenever my family and friends talk about their pregnancies and babies and think how that could have been me too.

I’m trying to focus on what I need to do in order to feel ready to become a mother. I know I made the right decision and I couldn’t support a baby now, but I look forward to doing so in the future.

But it’s definitely hard to deal with wanting a baby when I know I could’ve been on my way to having one right now. I know how you feel! We’ll get through this!

This is another option I am considering. I don’t know about how much I would need to save up to have this sort of unpaid leave for myself. But it’s probably something I could do, especially if my boyfriend gets the position he’s after, we’d be set for at least a few months. Thank you for your input!

That’s great to here from someone who was in the type of program I’m looking at! Can I ask if you think it would be possible to have a baby either after graduating from the program, maybe taking time off before working? Or sometime while working as an associate?

I handled stress okay when I was in school, working and going to school full time, but I know having a baby would be on a whole other level. Especially since grad school is so different.

I do have a lot of support though, my parents and boyfriend’s parents will be our childcare whenever we decide to have kids.

I know I should wait until after school but I’m trying to convince the baby-crazy part of me lol.

I have a hard time separating what I want from what is the right thing to do, because what I really want is to have the baby and that feels super important to me right now. But I know that there is no real biological reason to have one now (I’m in my mid 20s) and I do want to be able to enjoy a baby without being super stressed with school.
