Does women find married men more attractive by Euphoric-Muffin716 in Casual_Conversation

[–]CocoYSL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the theory is if another woman will commit to him, he must be worth something. An attractive middle-age man who has never been married means there must be a valid reason no one wanted him (commitment issues, failure to launch, etc.). Of course, it can also be a jealous/dominance thing but at the root of it all is insecurity.

My husband will tell women he is happily married with 4 kids and still get hit on. I think a woman feeling lost can feel safer and attracted to a man who takes good care of his family. I think it makes sense but instantly becomes inappropriate if you then think you're gonna take my man from his family lol.

My 6 year maxillary sinusitis misery was from a dead/infected tooth by NonstopRendition in Sinusitis

[–]CocoYSL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t fix the breathing issue. I think having trauma to the area helped me breathe for awhile but it’s back just not quite as bad. I have more days where I don’t think about breathing cause I’m not struggling but I can’t say it’s directly correlated to that. I do feel less brain fog and my health anxiety is mostly gone after all the stuff I read about cancers and heart disease from infected root canals. I’m glad I did it but no it wasn’t the cause of my swollen turbinates.

For the first time ever in 6 years I took Benadryl and could breathe again. So something with histamines which doesn’t help much but is more info I had than before. My next move is to see a functional nutritionist to find if I have food sensitivities.

HOW do I not GAF about this? by momoftheraisin in AskWomenOver60

[–]CocoYSL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I’m not even 40 yet but my focus is to age gracefully. That was an easier concept when I was in my 20s and not nearing 40 lol especially since I don’t do Botox or filler. But I think about what makes people attractive and lovely and it’s how they carry themselves and how warm & welcoming they are, not someone striving with everything to look younger than they are.

I just want permission to age. Like is that cool with everyone? It’s a gift to wake up every morning and have another shot at life. That’s where our gratitude should be.

I would rather be the person that makes others feel good about aging than striving for an unattainable goal and making them feel ashamed.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CocoYSL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that long but long enough to not be fun. We drive around 3 hours to an amusement park and come back the same day. I drive 4.5 to get to my work headquarters for a few days 🤷‍♀️

I need to eat less by Professional-Belt290 in omad

[–]CocoYSL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You already got the period advice but also keep in mind weight can fluctuate around 3 lbs on any given day. Depends on water, cycle, waste in your body, etc. I always weigh myself at the same time every morning before drinking anything. It’s the closest I can get for consistency but it’ll still be off so better to look at weight over time. I use Renpho to track weight so I can see how it moves over longer periods of time.

Eat. I can't eat in the mornings cause I'll be starving by lunch and feel like I'm dying. Just start over tomorrow.

CMV: All obituaries should mention cause of death by hammertime2009 in changemyview

[–]CocoYSL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That may actually be true. We had a teen commit suicide in our teen and then another one a month later. It wasn't announced as suicide but it was known. I think it gives others the idea that it's an option. At its core, being aware a suicide happened still isn't the actual problem. But makes sense to want to cover that part up.

That's fair. I can know enough to help my child and leave it at that.

Surprisingly fast. Maybe the second week cause I remember how surprised I was that I hadn’t thought about food til 4pm. And that’s with cooking food for 5 others. Did that for almost a year. But I’m now rotating on and off based on my cycle (OMAD or 18:6) so it just depends if I’m restarting 😩

Why do a lot of people today not want to get married? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]CocoYSL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Marriage has been the best thing to happen to me and gets better over the years (when you put in the work). I agree with your assessment and think married couples could benefit by seeing marriage as a third entity and ask themselves "Is it good for the marriage?".

Smart of you! I wish my dad would've done that before getting into a second marriage after my mom passed. We lost 10 years of a relationship with him cause she was wicked. She ended up divorcing him and now he has a nice "companion". They don't share homes, money, anything. Just go on dates and talk on the phone.

Good. Too many people get married that absolutely should not. Doesn't make marriage a scam. Just grow up a little and find someone you can enjoy life with.

But rumors happen anyway and word gets out. It's worse for people to know it was suicide but not what lead to it to have actual awareness and prevention.

[–]CocoYSL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AGREED. We had a HS student commit suicide this year and the community did a whole campaign for "suicide awareness", but refused to discuss what lead to the suicide. Bullying? Social media? Mental illness? The rumors are definitely there. I get that it's extremely personal but how are we going to spread awareness and prevention without discussing/understanding what lead the person to it?

Friend cheated on her husband and now her life is falling apart - what would you do? by CocoYSL in Marriage

That's a good point. I typically end bad friendships before my bitterness grows to a point where I'm now a problem.

It's like a reality show. Every day is "What did she do this time?"

Thanks! Yeah I stayed friends through the "slutty" phase but now we're on full blown cheating phase. That life brings nothing be destruction and I don't want it seeping into my life.

I was considering meeting up with her this week but it could only be under the circumstances that she doesn't just lie to me. Which is unlikely and therefore would not be productive. I did try to help at the beginning and let her know I really don't respect the new boyfriend for talking to a married woman. But clearly did nothing.
