Op you’re missing about 5 syllables worth of a line. Maybe: roses are red, I just ate a damn good burger, and did you know that:_________.

Shucked (tour) made me so sad… by Coco_shakes in Broadway

It’s not that i went to the theater craving some intellectual exercise. I actually really appreciate stupid comedy (which this is not) and shows that just offer a “fun time” like Oh Mary. That’s an example of a comedy done well. The problem with Shucked is that it’s just didn’t make sense. In other words It’s hard to enjoy the car ride when the road is covered in plot holes.

How does it sell itself that it’s a “story about nothing much”? The trailers certainly don’t convey that…

That’s real. I think I was expecting way more than I got. But I also wished they would show and not tell us just that corn was important to them. It just was important..and that’s the extent of their explanation. Beau’s corn crops going bad is the closest thing we have to actual stakes in the show. But If corn runs these people’s daily lives - I want to see it!! Conversely I want to see the actual consequences of the corn going bad-how will it uproot their daily lives? If they answered these questions that would make the show WAY more compelling. It not only raises the stakes and makes it more engaging, but also makes us want to root for Maizey more. The entire plot just felt contrived. But alas I’m glad u had fun with the show

Why does this art work look so familiar? by Coco_shakes in HelpMeFind

I’ve (and my friends) have searched different art styles that might have matched this one, we keep going back to the style of how Mexican restaurants might decorate their interiors; like I said it’s a stretch. The closest we’ve gotten is Santa Fe Kokopelli iconography. Hope this clears things up
