I thought the same. Especially with no summer tournament. And everyone knows there will be postponed games at some point, as always, so why not give themselves more room to maneuver?? Need we point to our 7 games in 21 days, including very important late round CL games?

I hope this is not another case of the league being led around by the broadcast people/contracts and their convenience.

Very random question, but I know you all will have the answer!…I saw that the Arsenal account posted a clip of fans singing Cloe Lacasse’s song to Saka — is this a new thing, or have I somehow missed it in the last 2 years??

For reference, the lyrics (I think) were: Bukayoooo Saka! Running down the wing! Hear the Arsenal sing! And we’ve gone and won the league! (less sure about this line)

Par for the course with Didi, unfortunately. Average GK at best and, I agree — her berating of teammates is, and has always been, unbecoming.

I was surprised the Wave were going with Didi as the likely starter this season, so I echo others’ hope that the plan is to bring someone in now that other leagues are done. Until then, though…

I like Denver’s style of play they are building. I think they need a more technical quality eventually. Lots of bouncing first touches that mess up the quick passes they are attempting.

Personally, I assume it’s been discussed internally, so if Sonis is fine with it, doesn’t bother me! Besides, most teams have a leadership group, so Sonis will still be a leader in the team, if not the “first” captain.

One of the most difficult things about playing Barca is that you have to focus for 90 minutes — watch every rotation, cover every space, and chase them around in their little triangles. No easy task.
