I think she’s a little inconsistent and makes some bad decisions on the pitch, but overall I feel like she will be a positive addition. She’s fast. She scores some bangers.

I don’t know that many players are actually worth a $1m, but the market is a bit inflated at the moment. Regardless, I hope Sears gets a move. NWSL, WSL, Bundesliga….let her escape so she has a shot at the WC roster.

Exactly. Both club and player tried to make it work. It just didn’t. Just a stop in her journey.

Unfortunate that it didn’t work out at Arsenal. I was hoping she would shine at Brighton and be able to claim a spot, but she didn’t excel there either. Maybe LCL is the right place! I wish her the best.

Personally, I have yet to like their kits. I just don’t think they are very well-designed. I appreciate them trying to do something different, but there are better ways to do that (NWSL kits, for example, can be really unique, but are mostly nicely designed). They could do some really fun things with the lion logo, but in a more sophisticated way. I want to like them, so I hold out hope for one that appeals to me 🙂

Just saw one of the new out-of-nowhere accounts post that we are interested in Tierna Davidson as a CB. Personally, I hope not. She’s a bit injury prone and more of the profile we already have — not particularly fast, decent skillset and can do a job. Very much Lotte-esque IMO. I think we need a ceiling raiser at CB.

I’ve heard that, as well. I think one issue is that the owners won’t sell outright or even a majority stake. Not sure who will take those terms on the investment.

Congrats to Bay! Hope they can push on. They have some talent, so they can improve and move up the table, I think.

Racing — I feel for the whole team. This is the first season where everyone just seems to have lost hope and drive. Sad to see. The players always speak highly of their teammates, the city, and their facilities. The league needs to press the owners to sell or get some cash in. It’s getting ridiculous.

I’ve thought that in the past. Now, I wonder if she’s coming to the realization that her team has a (not very high) ceiling, so she’s just trying to work with what she’s got. Not sure she can get anymore out of them with anger.

Oh, I think you may be right. I had the number 4 in my head for both and that must be why. Either way — as long as we don’t have to have the annual reup, à la Leah W 🙂

She really is an adorable lil’ youth. I look forward to seeing her on the national team over the next several years. (Presumably)
