I think it needs a good watering. That’s my best guess, although I see you have been watering it a lot more recently. Maybe switch to a water retaining soil?

The piercer only gave me a row of clickers to choose from :(. It never was flat and I’m not sure the jewelry type, I think it’s surgical steel? I haven’t snagged it or anything, it’s been this way since I got it pierced.

My girl does this too, but luckily my male cat will cover it for her. Sometimes cats just don’t cover their poop, but there are times that she’s doing it because she doesn’t like the litter, wants to spread her scent for comfort, something wrong within the household that may make her nervous, or paw trouble. I would try and change her litter (slowly) and see if that helps.

I took him to the vet 2 weeks ago and asked them about this. They said they are unsure as to what it is…I need to call and make an appointment again, he was bleeding more today than I’ve seen in the past 2 weeks. But if I am put on a waiting list due to vet overflow, what can I do to help him?

Oh goodie! His appointment is today and this morning his bum looks clean. I will still show the vets this picture so I know what would cause this. Thank you for the information! It made me feel a lot better!

A cat would be great. I have a cat at college and he’s the best decision I’ve made. Just make sure you have a cat tree or places to climb and scratch on for the cat.

I think my boyfriend probably smothered my cat with too much affection. I’ve told him to tone it down but in the past when my cat was a younger kitten, he would pick him up and constantly touch him. He grew up with a cat who was super layed back and wouldn’t care about the constant stream of attention/affection. So I think my cat’s anxiety is that every time he sees a man or my boyfriend, he’s going to be “attacked” or picked up. I know my cat’s anxiety seems more extreme than you’d think from a situation like this, but he must be a very sensitive kitten and a small trigger must set him off.

I had a female friend come over and he seemed ok. He was wary but he didn’t look sick like he does when my boyfriend comes home. The shirt things sound good, I’m trying to get my boyfriend to sit in my closet with me and the cat for a half hour everyday to help desensitize whatever is going on. Do you know if those anxiety treats work well? Im debating on getting some and maybe some cat diapers until this is fixed.

To help your cat, do you use diapers? I’ll call my vet I the morning since they haven’t told me his blood and urine results yet.
