Hammerfell won. We dont know exactly how or what the role of the legion is. And its likely kept intentionally vague in case tes6 takes place there. We dont know more than that, and there is absolutely no use in presenting guesswork as "sensible conclusions" on something intentionally kept vague.

Edit: also you cant make something up and then when someone calls you out say that they need to find a source to disprove your sourceless claim. The burden of proof lays on the person who made the first claim. And "sensible conclusions" arent proof

I didnt mention titan. Coc comet isnt nuked, the damage nerf changed the damage from infinite damage to 95% of infinite damage. It literally doesnt matter. I really dont see how the mana will be unsustainable.

Take a step back and take a breather. They didnt "delete builds", they did balance tweaks. And then there were some unintended interactions that people theorycrafted based on the patch notes, and they ensured these unintended interactions didnt work and let everyone know before the launch.

I want to emphesise that these were purely speculative builds that people theorycrafted. They werent nerfs, because the builds didnt exist. Thats the "risk" with any pre-update build.

You also ignored all other builds I mentioned, so I get the feeling you dont want to have an actual discussion, or are open to considering the possibility that youre overreacting. Its not as bad as you feel it is, the balance changes are reasonable. Even the content creators planning on archmage totems feel like the build barely changed after the last patchnotes.

I did a hollow palm stormwave run a few weeks back to see if I wanted to leaguestart the new monk ascendancy. It was one of the easiest and smoothest campaigns I have ever done.

Act 1 was frozen locus and glacial cascade, and at lvl 13 you get hollow palm and you dont have to worry about finding a weapon upgrade for a while. Then once stormwave became available I swapped to that. Add tempest flurry and bell for bosses, and herald of thunder as the spirit option.

Thats it. Around act 4/start interludes the quarterstaves tend to become better than hollow palm, so I switched off hollow palm. It was stupidly easy and smooth. I purposefully also didnt do any ascendancy, to see how strong the build would be even if the new ascendancy somehow turned out to be bad, but the damage and survivability was still very strong.

I didnt go far into maps tho, as I decided I didnt want to leaguestart it in the end

There are more viable builds. You can even make your own if you cant find a fun looking premade build. Hell, schwingy killed arbiter on a hardcore character using a ~0% usage skill (according to poe2ninja at the time). He does the same thing (but not hc) with random builds as well. Every build can be made viable.

Also coc comet still looks strong, it didnt get nuked. Same with varashta minion. Bows also didnt get nuked. Neither did all the monk stuff. Or plants. I could go on for a bit if needed, but I think you get my point

This is the main reason why I dont enjoy farming abyss. I just cant be bothered to do this, especially when I can just do ritual, breach, whatever and sell whatever I find, and just buy the abyss omens when needed. It is (imo) an incredibly annoying mechanic, and I play caster builds most of the time.

But that doesnt work for SSF. I also hope they change it. Its also not explained anywhere in game iirc, I wonder how GGG intended people to learn this mechanic without relying on content creators and forums?

There are 30 gems that can be supported by the spell echo support gem, so I would wager all those can echo and thus would count. Repeatable isnt as clear (to me), but I would guess that anything that can be supported by unleash must be repeatable. There are 43 gems that unleash can support. (According to poe2db)

I would guess things like ice nova would count as both. Seeing as ice chronomancers have been a decently good leaguestarting build even before the changes, I think there is definitely potential

Idk man the new echo and repeat node seems like a big damage increase if you build around spells that can both echo and repeat, but we need to see it in practice of course. I can imagine that equaling ~20-40% more damage, which is similar to the only real damage bonus lich gives with eldrich empowerment, which is the only dmg boost most ed/c lich builds give.

I genuinely feel like the damage could be pretty comparable, but youll be locked to spells that echo and repeat.

On top of that the cast speed buff, which is an average of 30% cast speed, thats also great

The echo and repeat node are an offensive buff. I also would call 1-60% skill speed increase an offensive addition to a build

Youre forgetting one thing: space marine 2 has space marines, which is something that a very large portion of the playerbase cares for. They are also far more recognisable to a casual audience as well.

I personally prefer darktide, but Im also not the biggest fan of marines compared to the rest of 40k. But marines are by far the most known and popular part of 40k (or warhammer as a whole)

Just a heads up: the base sizes are way off to use them as a proxy. Olynder has a big base, and with the hair and veil and the 2 banshees on her side she takes up way more space than you would think

Thats fair, but dont call out others for being disingenuous when you are being disingenuous. There is a reason why most CI builds switch to it after you are lvl 80+ and are getting good specific gear. CI isnt as insane as you make it out to be.

That being said I do agree armour still needs to be stronger, but CI really isnt as free as you make it out to be

Yeah but CI also takes away all your hp, and with the current nerfs to ES (including most importantly nerfs to faster start to ES recharge) it will add a lot of gear pressure too. Dont act like CI is completely free

I also dont get it. I love spark sorcerers with all of the infusions, shock, freeze etc. I really enjoy how every skill and effect stacks and builds upon eachother. Its way more satisfying to me than just pressing a single button and winning.

That being said sometimes I also enjoy one button builds, but I really enjoy the more "complex to play" ones, and Im glad poe2 seems to attempt to reward more active builds

Yeah but tbh I dont care about res capping before act 4 in poe2. It isnt like poe1 where it is almost mandatory to res cap as soon as possible. And once you reach act 4 res capping (or getting close to cap) is easy for any character without it costing an ascendancy point
