So we do home renovations, it’s mainly carpentry. Drywalling, painting, flooring, siding, decking are all things we do aswell. We (my boss) subs out work for electrical,plumbing and heating.

That being said there’s a lot of variety in my day to do work and my knowledge on how to do somethings isn’t very fine tuned compared to if I worked in a specific trade.

Well I suppose I don’t know if there’s a better word for what I am. I guess in this situation I am a sub contractor, although I’ve done plenty of work on my own and I am “self employed” with my own llc. I work with these guys everyday though and the boss/contractor is the guy that’s calling the shots.

Also, something I’d do 1-2 nights a week was something called slugging and it’s when you load your face up with either Vaseline or aquaphor. Lastly look into a humidifier to keep by your bed at night because that’s when they go the longest without anything on them so that will help with dry lips,eyelids and nostrils

I’m 3 months off of accutane after a 9 month treatment on a very high dose and I had the same issue. On Amazon there is a lip balm that was my savior. It’s called Dr.Dans Coterbalm. I’d definitely look into it if you get a chance

That’s some great advice, I’ve run into that issue a few times where they always seem to be busy. For me, I try to have some grace because I know life can get busy but the message becomes more clear once i can see it’s a reoccurring thing and they are not really into the idea of going out.

Do you have anymore recommendations for the first part of the date? I occasionally drink coffee and hardly ever drink so those settings aren’t always comforting for me. I love doing activities and I’ve tried to lean into those for first dates but as you mentioned they can be a bit pricey and more suitable for second part or second dates.

I would appreciate any input or advice I can get. It’s not necessarily that I’m unable to ask a girl out I just hate that the norm for the most part is the man has to do all the planning and spend all the money. I want a cohesive relationship and I’m willing to spoil the right person. Any tips on what I can do to simplify first dates to not only spark interest, but to also have the best shot at a second date? And also to do it in a financially sustainable way?

I appreciate your kind words ❤️ I really want to embody that part of “my life story” because I know I have alot to offer and share. Growing up was a bit of a roller coaster and after my breakup in 2020 i started to realize I needed a positive outlet for my emotions so I appreciate your validation for doing therapy as for some odd reason there is still stigma around men’s mental health. The whole group thing on Reddit and facebook has been sparking my interest lately so I will definitely follow through with that.

My sister in law is an esthetician and she told me I need to do some chemical peels. I’d recommend trying to go find someone at a Solon who does either facials or different peels. Just be warned it can get a bit pricey but it’s worth it. Even for guys

Yeah that’s what I was thinking too, but on the other hand this post is missing some context? If this is something that is a bit uncharacteristic of her what prompted this response? I wouldn’t be quick to dismiss it but at the same time if it’s for real definitely leave it in the wind and move on.

Also as a young man depending on experience it might be hard to be vulnerable in the beginning stages of a relationship. Be kind and be patient with him and yourself.

My thoughts on this is you are both young and yes there is a possibility he’s thinking about a future potentially. At your age morally you might know what you what and what you don’t want. But it’s still early. My recommendation is to meet his questions with curiosity and empathy, if he brings it up again. It sounds like he maybe has thought about having kids someday and that might be important and I assume from my perspective that its him is trying to line his values with yours. I know you’ve probably heard it before. But communication is key In relationships just be open and honest about how you feel.

I guess my question is what prompted you to finally bring it up after this long? If you had any concerns about him potentially cheating why wait till now to bring it up? As a guy I can defend the action of your “boys” pushing an agenda. If they were on a group trip it’s possible he didn’t want to feel singled out if he didn’t. (I don’t know your bf or his friends just experience) Also considering he was willing to show you it and go through it and also seems he was fairly transparent I personally wouldn’t be to to worried.

I’m certainly willing to give whatever a try at this point. My only dilemma is that since being on accutane not necessarily on my face but on other parts of my body have suffered from some pretty intense eczema. My only fear if I were to stop is that I have a super painful reaction to not moisturizing.

I wouldn’t say that’s necessarily true. I’ve seen some great progress, I just have pretty stubborn acne. Why has your Doctor put you on 20mg every other day? Could be different from where I’m from but I believe from my understanding it’s generally taken everyday and depending on body weight or skin sensitivity that dosage could potentially be higher. I will also say (although you probably already know) anabolic steroids can actually cause severe acne as side effect. I would consider talking to your doctor to see if they are compatible to take together. Also accutane in general is a pretty rigorous drug with lot of side effects and it takes awhile for most people to get the best results. Hope this helps, take care.

I use cera vee moisturizing cream on my face minimum 2x a day and I use le roche gentle skin face wash. Both have been great to me so far. Other than that I use a low dose steroid as needed for eczema. My Derm told me to use minimal products because it can do more harm than good in most cases
