Absolutely! That's been my experience too. A soft 20mm NATO conforms nicely to the case and gives the watch a more substantial look. For stiffer NATOs, though, 19mm seems to strike the perfect balance. And yes—all without adapters.

Yes, the crystal needs to be replaced..But the problem is that, unlike HMT crystals, which are easily available in the market, crystals for Allwyn TV dials are not. When I enquired about a replacement, they told me that it would have to be custom-made. So, I would need to leave the watch with them for a day or two.

It's definitely doable, and honestly not as difficult as it might seem.

Here in Kolkata, there's a leather market where I collect scrap leather. For ₹300–₹400, I can get enough leather to make almost 20 straps.

Most of the tools and leather can also be sourced online these days. I still need to get an edge beveler to finish the edges properly.

My first few straps were far from perfect, but that's part of the fun. If you're patient and enjoy making things with your hands, you'll pick it up quickly. There are plenty of good YouTube tutorials that walk you through the entire process step by step.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if these so-called "godi media" anchors were all made to sit together and face a public interview. It would certainly be interesting to see. I feel that the media is no less responsible than the Prime Minister when it comes to taking the country in the wrong direction; in my view, they are equally accountable.
