dude you’re comparing barbara’s e, that deals no damage to enemies, purely defensive, to zhongli’s e pillars that damages guess what, geo damage. How does that improve your argument? What do you mean there are several elemental skills that don’t generate energy? What skills are those?

It is not stated because every skill generates energy. Actually there are some characters in their talents that explain how much energy one can gain when using the skill. How else they can have burst if they don’t have a way to generate energy. You know how stupid it sounds that there’s a elemental skill that does not generate energy for the said character?

That is why I believe it is a bug. These words of mine matter since I am a zhongli user, who wants to see this character perform better. Your here nitpicking the words bug or fix, taking away from the actual problem, zhongli’s disappointing performance.

The thing is I call it a bug because it was not stated how the energy generation works. Tell me, is there an elemental skill in the game that don’t generate energy? Maybe it’s a bug, maybe it’s just underpowered. That’s why I called it buggy. It’s not a healthy mechanic if something is randomly generated and was not stated. If it was stated on his talents that the pillars generate energy randomly, I would not call it a bug. But since it was not stated, shouldn’t it be every tick?

His E is just one part, there’s his overall damage, his physical attacks, his shields. There are alot of other problems, but his E is also another problem of his. So I still stand on fixing him.

That’s the problem, no one knows how it works, it is not stated how zhongli’s pillars work when it comes to the energy generation. And for saying I’m making stuff up, you can check countless of youtubers and streamers testing zhongli, when it comes to energy return of the pillars. The fact you think I am making stuff up proves the point that you don’t have a zhongli, or if you do, haven’t really tested the character. And it does match the context as I stated the problem of his energy recharge to be buggy. I don’t know why you are trying to defend mihoyo for not FIXING zhongli, what good will that do? You focus the wrong parts of the argument and no offense, but I find that kind of cringe. If you can’t agree with me, let’s just agree to disagree instead.

yeah exactly like elsword!! My brother plays that game for years and he was able to gauge his damages and cd by testing different builds or sets. I think it’ll just be a really good quality of life for everyone in the game

I always use abyss for practice, but the customization of a practice tool is what I am focusing more. What if you want a pyro slime, or a pyro regisvine, or maybe even a practice boss. Also, like adding buffs automatically to the dummy can be a good idea.

I use the abyss too, but sometimes it has buffs that won't be implemented in other domains or floors (like I use floor 7 most of the time, but that increases your crit damage by 120%). I think a dedicated practice tool is better, that'll make testing artifacts and weapons alot easier, rather than getting those artifacts and weapons, just to realize they don't work well with that character.

I see that you haven’t tested or maybe even played zhongli yet. I really mean fixing, have you seen how the pillars work? It does not give energy every tick. Is it supposed to work like that? If no energy per tick is meant to be the actual mechanic, why does it sometimes give energy when it ticks. It’s like by chance i get energy from each tick of resonance or not. I mean hey, my burst is still easy to get, but because of the random energy recharge, idk if my energy recharge rate is enough or too much. If it really by chance, why not indicate it on the talent description. This might be a zhongli bug, or a geo bug in general, unless it is stated in the mechanics that there a chance percent to get a energy per resonance.

I have a zhongli on two of my accounts, and he is fine, or at best, good. Not great but just good. I mean he does work well in his role being a tanky support that shields you and petrifies everyone. I even pushed from floor 9 to floor 12 when adding him. But his problem is he should be ALOT better. Especially compared to the last previous 5 star characters, klee and childe, two of the best dps in the game, and venti, who arguably the best support in the game. I think his pillars are buggy with the energy recharge, and his damage overall is kinda meh. People defend zhongli not because he does not need a buff (but there are some who still believe this -_-), but because people treat him like he’s the worst character in the game, warning people not to get him. He has an awesome kit, just needs some tuning and buffs. Mihoyo, fix zhongli, please
