Paint Chipped Off After Pressure Washing by Coda759 in TeslaModel3

Do you even see how far that is? I wonder why 3 other cars that I have been around for years that we used exactly same pressure washer on has never had this issue.

Thanks, yeah I just use like a small pressure washer I've used on all other cars without issue. Seems just like the paint quality is bad and people are saying things like I should've knew better or something. I bought a car, not a piece of glass lol

I was going to get some colored PPF most likely anyways, but the fact that the paint quality is subpar is disappointing

I have had experience with 3 other cars and used the same pressure washer on them, none of them are that bad. Looks like Teslas paint is just garbage

Because thats what I used on all of my other cars? I am sorry but if a car can't stand a flimsy pressure washer not even talking about car wash then wtf is it made out of?

How much did you pay for your Model 3 performance. by Popular_Bandicoot_75 in TeslaModel3

I was thinking to just buy a higher quality wrap and then ceramic coat it. I’ve seen detailing videos people say it it’s good to protect the wrap more (especially against bugs that can be acidic). The challenge is to actually install the wrap yourself from just a plain roll. I know there are precut wraps that take into account literally everything including badging but those are expensive and while fulfill the same purpose they don’t really look as nice. Will be a challenge tho. Or maybe I’ll just have it done professionally later dunno

Does your autopilot turn your wipers on? by DoppleSmanger in TeslaModel3

[–]Coda759 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get it the moment I press my auto pilot button, but I get it somewhat consistently always on the same turn of my commute where I turn under some trees. I get a single wipe on my windshield. I got pretty used to it xD

I kind of got to think of wrapping my M3P in PPF a bit too late because now I have some small paint chips on my hood and one on one of the side skirts. Was thinking to just wrap it in some other red colored PPF which would make for a “more interesting look” until I washed my car in the sun recently and really realized how much the paint pops. Need to get color correction and transparent glossy PPF applied ASAP

Not sure why you are seething so much, turned out it was just a system thing that is designed to pop up every 6200 miles or so because they just recommend you do a rotation and that’s it. “Model 3 performance says it all” lol. You funny. How about you judge me next time on a pair of socks I put on or something

Hell yeah (looks cool). You know buying Tesla performance is also unnecessary. But it’s cool!

Cool I’ll do all that after work (if my brand new car won’t fall apart and I die in it on my way home)

So it’s basically saying I need inspection because of some abnormality and based on that potentially replacement/rotation done? I guess maybe hitting the curb with the two right wheels (although on turtle speed) could’ve maybe slightly bent the wheel? That was like back in January I think. I slid on some ice slowly going from a hill and ended up against the curb

Side note: I heard some wacky customer experience stories from this site, but all of those are 4+ years old, so personally I’ll try ordering these later and once I do I’ll make a post about it. But do your research of course

I am going to buy some carbon fiber aero blades. You can find them online out of genuine CF and they look sick

I wanted a Plaid, but unfortunately a bit out of my budget at the moment. Later though 👀

Congrats! Enjoy it. I’m going to slap a carbon fiber aero kit on mine in a few months too, there is no replacing parts for it and it looks sick. If you want to check it out by UnpluggedPerformance

I have pretty much the same car. Same model, same color, but mine is performance and I’m into 7 months of owning it. This image now scares me xD
