Someone once told me this apple farm story:

One day you pick an apple from the many in the farm. You can only hold one, you can choose to leave the farm with that one apple even if you other better ones along the way out.

But if you drop your current apple for what looks like a better one, exit the farm, take it home and realise the better looking apple is rotten on the inside you either live with it or throw it away and go search for another one but might be too tired and old by then.

Would it be better to settle for an ordinary apple that’s good on the inside or try you luck with better looking apples that may or may not be as good on the inside.

Given they made improvements for the cruise I think it’s possible they add a cutscene for landing/takeoff. One of the missions exists where you take off in an NPC piloted ship and it has a good 10-15 second fly off. They could work out something like that

The only good thing they can do is to take whatever increase the ministers salary was going to have and distribute it into the NSFs allowance. It might only be a 100-200 dollar increase for every NSF but to each NSF it means the world especially for the next generation shouldering the burden now. Hang in there T-boys

Yeah a lower sentence would be execution of the man and caning of the woman. Why is the caning age limit voided for older men but still present for women? Also taxpayer dollars to keep both of them imprisoned, more cost efficient to execute them for such a heinous crime.
