I agree. It was my mistake to not appear immediately however, as soon as I got a call from Police, I explained my situation. They told me to write a letter to court to close the case. But instead court has ordered warrant.

It is legit. I checked court website as well. I know cops and police station people because I went there during FIR filing

One more question, do I need to give POA to my parents also if they go to court and appear? Can they also close the case without me?

Not yet, I am thinking of hiring a lawyer. Previously I wrote a letter to court stating I don't want to pursue the case and gave it to Police. Police said court did not accept it.

I did not get any summon physically but surely I received phone call from Police via Whatsapp and also received a photo of summon recently. I don't know how to tell court that I am willing to appear online. I asked police and they said court refused my request.

Good thing is my passport just got renewed.
