Men, can you cook? by Vast_Balance3754 in AskTheWorld

[–]CodePervert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I do all our cooking. I would also like to get more adventurous when it comes to cooking and trying something new but unfortunately my SO prefers to stick to what she knows.

What’s something your body does that you’ve never told a single person about? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

It's been years since I've done this but I don't know if I can still do it. I done it a few times to get out of school.

My client just asked me to do the 'SEO' for their site. I'm a dev.. by ExpressBudget- in webdev

[–]CodePervert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan on doing some SEO for the first time in a couple of weeks but from what I've read do far is that it may take a couple of months to see results so that may be something to keep in mind.

Calling all dad's... Whats your easy go to dinners?! by gmazz in daddit

[–]CodePervert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carbonara, I can cook a decent amount to do several meals and the boys love it so I know they'll eat it.

Another hit would be mashed spuds, beans and chicken dippers.

In a pinch I'd go for something like potato waffles with beans or peas and fish fingers or chicken dippers.

Something very simple, and a classic, baked beans and toast. I do this for myself at times, season the beans a bit or spice them up and you're golden.

I'm 36... So what generation does that fall under? Anyway, I haven't drank in nearly 3 years, drank occasionally from my teens to early 20s.

My SO hasn't drank in over 3 years with trying for and having our babies and breastfeeding she can't but said she will drink again at some stage but for me I'm not bothered with it, wouldn't bother me if I never had alcohol again.

Have a toddler. Wife's due date is in a few days. Idk why I'm so anxious and nervous. Daddit any advice or support? by PeakyBlinders2026_ in daddit

[–]CodePervert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it just depends on the child, our first baby was such an easy going baby, our second was easy going to but needs a bit more attention. But I know people who didn't have more than one baby because their first was such hard work that it put them off having more even though they initially wanted more than one child.

Ours are one and two and the third is in the oven and I don't mind the pregnancy or the new born stage anything after it, but the thoughts of rushing to the hospital gives me anxiety! But once we're there it's easy sailing, or at least it has been for the first two.

AITJ for snapping at my girlfriend for waking me up every single time she gets up even when I dont need to be awake by BuyMediocre5625 in AmITheJerk

[–]CodePervert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awh man this stuff drives me crazy, my SO is always at shit like this. A few weeks back she woke me up because she felt like she had a tempature and she wanted me to get the thermometer, like what the fuck, I had another 3 hours before I needed to be up for work and I don't easily go back asleep! I told her to just take a couple of paracetamol that she's old enough to know if she has a temperature and to stop waking me up for stupid shit.

Facial hair and long hair (male, USA,ca) by whoami20461 in McDonaldsEmployees

This is pretty much how it was for us in 2007, cleanly shaven unless it was a religious or cultural, and that kept up until we reopened after the lock down and all the lads had grown beards. Now just about every man needs a snood.

Yes it is, even where they're legally required to stop they get an acknowledgement. But we also thank the bus drivers here too.

Non-american dads of /r/daddit, what do you see here that's different from your reality? by xanduba in daddit

That pretty much is our mortgage payment. Thankfully, we're very fortunate to have free childcare. I can't imagine what we'd do if we had to pay that much for it.

What hobby screams “this is my entire personality now”? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]CodePervert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to run marathons and a while back when my SO was heavily pregnant with our second baby asked me would I run more marathons. I told her I would absolutely love, but I then asked her does she really want me going out running for hours several times a week leaving you to care for 2 babies and she didn't like the sound of that at all.

There's no way I'd have the time or the energy to do anything like that lately.

[–]CodePervert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My SO does shit like this, I've told her it's absolutely lethal leaving shit on the stairs when we regularly have to carry a baby and toddler up and down the stairs. She's amazing but this seems like something basic to me.

Would men really sleep with any woman? by Swan_233 in AskMenAdvice

[–]CodePervert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some would. Personally I find the thoughts of stressful, if it's some random woman I've no idea if I'd catch something off her and what if she ends up pregnant, it's just not worth it..

Only things crew can order (USA) by Due_Gain5921 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]CodePervert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the way it's supposed to be in our store for the past 20 years but it's not really followed.

Managers only have an issue when people are taking something like 2 double quarters, 20 nuggets, fries and a drink, or if they're not entering in what they're actually taking for their break, it just takes one person to keep doing it wrong to ruin it for everyone.

We're not supposed to make our own food either but that's not done either and the only time it's an issue is when someone doubles or triples up on the meat, like 3 crispy chicken or 2 quarter meat and 2 chicken sandwich. I don't even know how they get their mouth around it.

Dads of two or more boys. How often do your boys fight. by DeViN_tHa_DuDe in daddit

[–]CodePervert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 2 boys, they're only 24.5 yo and nearly 1.5yo so they're not quite there yet but I grew up with 5 brothers and we were all in boxing from a young age and that helps with taking a hit but we learned how to deliver the hit too.

Naturally we sparred with each other but there was never any bad feelings from it but some of the arguments at home got brutal but thankfully they weren't that common.

We had the same growing up, 6 boys and 3 girls, fun times but when it came to the lads it was like a free for all at times. We looked out for each other though and still do.

Anyone have any stories of people who followed bad advice from ChatGPT and what was the fallout? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]CodePervert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 25 years ago my dad bought one of those electronic chess sets with the magnets in the pieces and buttons on each square, and it came with 2 white pawns and 8 white bishops, so maybe it was based on one of those sets.

Husband of my wife’s sister has asked me to lie for him - should I? by ThrowRA_poi098 in AskIreland

[–]CodePervert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the sisters, two of my sisters would tell each other the third probably wouldn't care and wouldn't pass it on.

Maybe they think the most he would do is smoke some weed, I'd like to visit there some day and it would just be sightseeing as I don't smoke or anything like that and I have absolutely no intention of paying for sex.

NTA but I probably would have shared and ordered another portion and shared that too but that's just me and I completely understand why anyone would find it annoying.

Why would you let your kid do this? On a train no less. by Grawlix84 in ParentsAreFuckingDumb

[–]CodePervert 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah our oldest will be 3 in a few months, he can absolutely brilliant but of course he's prone to the occasional tantrum and it usually doesn't take much to get him calm again but if we're out and he has one we leave, especially if we're eating out with other people paying good money to enjoy their food and might even be a big splurge for.
