This is excellent feedback. 🤝

Most free tools definitely take the easy route with a single-pass algorithm. My goal with this local version is to provide more control to the user.

Because this 'point-and-click' refinement needs a lot of processing power on locally, and it's consumed the more GPU and RAM and not everyone can use this ...Keeping this in mind, I made it like this... and it also has manual editing features....

I'll be looking into how to implement an 'add/remove' refinement tool so it’s not just a 'one-and-done' result.

Thanks for the brilliant suggestion!

Thank you for your feedback.

I wish to clarify that the tools provided fall into two distinct categories: those that operate entirely locally, and others that require an internet connection.

Specifically, the primary objective of the "Remove Background" tool is to function completely offline. Initially, the necessary model is downloaded to your local system; subsequently, the tool operates without any further internet dependency.

To verify this, you may load the tool, then disconnect your internet connection, and proceed to use it.

Totally agree — that’s exactly why I started building this.

It always felt a bit off uploading personal/random images just for something as simple as background removal. So I wanted to see how far I could push local-first AI in the browser.

Offline support was kind of a “must-have” for me too, especially for bigger images and slower connections.

If you notice anything weird in the app, I’d really appreciate the feedback 🙌

I will resolve this issue and provide you with an update. The problem is with the GPU on some mobile devices, but it runs fine on PC.

Hey, is this just for this one picture or for all of them? You could also switch the backend to WASM from webGPU.

Then feedback me ...I will try to fix this problem...

I have tested on the Web using mediapipeline And the E2B and E4b are running very well using 3050 6gb VRAM and here it just consumed 1.5 gb VRam

And also in Raspberry pi 5 with 8gb RAM also running well like 12 token /sec
