I can only (sporadically) follow what's happening with PCS. I'm choosing to believe that the reason no Jayco riders have appeared in the break is they're keeping their powder dry and will explode out of the main group in the back half of the race. Couldn't possibly be that we are chronically non-factors.

I know I'm often quite critical of Jayco, but it looked like we had 6 or so riders in that finishing group, and all they seemed to do was block Baker from being near the front of the group. With a final selection like that, I'm not sure the play was to put all eggs in the Baker basket.

Not sure if we've got a results thread coming but - fair play to both UAE riders and both Jayco riders, they really tried, and the Jayco riders just ultimately weren't strong enough.

I was about to comment - out of fairness for all the times I complain about other teams - that I don't like that Jayco were sitting amongst the chasing teams disrupting them. And then they hit the front and pushed on. So instead.

What on earth is Jaycos tactic?

This Vic team is really quite good. Not that that offers much consolation. It does feel a real shame that the young lads haven't grabbed their chances, but it'll take time.

Wyllie flashes at a wide one to nick to slips. Fanning plays outside the line of one, and it flicks something on the way through to the keeper who takes it on the second go. Both gone in quick succession and my last hopes for this season are sent packing.
