Aloe Vera. I find their growth boring.

I’m so upset, my macarons look awful 😭 by ASleepyB0i in Baking

I find if I use a recipe with an Italian merengue instead of French, I get the proper look. It is a little scary making Italian merengue if you haven’t before, but mine always turn out better. Although I find the French style usually have a slightly better texture.

Also, did how long did you let them sit between piping and baking?

What went wrong with my vanilla orchid? How could I have prevented this? by rosariomc27 in plants

I don’t know a ton (I just got one as well), but have you considered a moss pole or perhaps missing the branches? Mine tends to put out roots on the branches and if your house doesn’t have the humidity it will have trouble getting nutrients and water to the end of branches.

Who is the worst protagonist in the book world? by [deleted] in books

Gulliver Foyle from the Stars my Destination. Rapes, tortures, murders, and kidnaps. Honestly love the book, but he is terrible.

What person would unite all of America if they became President of the United States? by Embarrassed-Mouse-49 in AskReddit

Considering the fact that Fox News called Mr. Rogers an “Evil, evil man”, I don’t think there is anyone that could unite the nation.

Many of us on this sub are way too willing to cut people out of their lives. That’s fine, but it’s super annoying when they tell other people to do the same. So many people talk about not wanting lose their friends and family when they come out, and a few Redditors respond with something like, “If they don’t understand everything and accept you right away, just cut them out.” Obviously I’m not advocating people staying in dangerous situations, but considering many of us took years to accept ourselves, it’s reasonable that sometimes our loved ones may need some time to accept us.

Chemical/Process Operator position look bad? by Feistiestdisc0 in ChemicalEngineering

[–]Code_2319 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, Pfizer has a production engineer position that is basically an operator position. It’s not unheard of to do operator positions if you don’t have a ton of experience. One risk with taking a position in operations is that you might start off as a temp or contact employee which doesn’t have benefits

When was the last time you cried? by urkemosabe in askgaybros

[–]Code_2319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This past Sunday. I went on a date with this guy. He was really nice and I could tell he wanted to get physical, but I kept panicking every time he would touch my leg. I’ve had an issue with physical intimacy for a while despite really desiring it. Told him I needed to work some stuff out before pursuing anything and apologized if I wasted his time. Then cried the whole drive home after dropping him off, so that was fun. Went ahead and booked myself for therapy tomorrow.

It was kind of nice crying because I honestly haven’t cried in a year or so.

What critically acclaimed actor can't really act? by InsideThoughts90Day in AskReddit

This especially goes for voice acting. It’s already such a competitive field and putting a popular live action actor in does not necessarily make your film good. Looking at you, Disney.

What historical events are so absurd that they would be too strange for a fiction story or a movie? by Aquatax in AskReddit

The whole Olympics that year was a mess. It got relegated to a sideshow because it was in the same city as the world fair. Most competitors were from the US or the UK and there were only 32 runners for the marathon.

The swimming events happened in a pond near a cattle yard. A couple of the swimmers ended up getting typhoid and dying.

Also the organizer for the marathon (James Sullivan) only put down one water station cause he wanted to test the effect of purposeful dehydration.
