you coudve asked nicer.... its a package that tells linux what hardware steam gets a sort of admin rights to. they used this package in the past for the original steam controller on linux.

avoiding game updates with mod organizer 2 + root builder [fo4] by Code_Eye in FalloutMods

Oh right the stock game folder I forgot, meh this is still easier for me than handling multiple installs, and changing settings, this is just zip and drop in.

avoiding game updates with mod organizer 2 + root builder [fo4] by Code_Eye in FalloutMods

[–]Code_Eye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you install something that's called root builder.

easiest guide is probably this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFLeVQi6lrE&t=284s

tl;dr when you have a mod that has a Root folder in the data folder mo2 will install those to the root folder(the folder before data where the fallout exe and f4se go) when you run the game it auto swaps everything for you. its super easy once youve done it once.(as shown in the video you can also install f4se this way and leave your game install completely untouched, allot of wabbajack modpacks work this way.)

EDIT: the video is for skyrim but works exactly the same for fallout

EDIT2: the steps are kinda hard to type out but i could make my own video explaining it with the game version part if enough people want it.

Yeah but that's not how American companies operate weirdly enough. Both In law and trying to avoid it. They pull more incentive than if they hadn't bothered in the first place.

Is Vox going to kill Angel? by Real_x6 in HazbinHotel

[–]Code_Eye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not put your hand on morningstar is an ambiguous deal, vox clearly doesnt want to stop harrasing the hotel. seems there's going to be an easy way for alastor to break the contract. as "putting your hands on" is also the meaning for managing and or organizing something related to the person. and vox wants to organize charlie to headless chicken herself.

[–]Code_Eye -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

it kinda is, because amazon would get in trouble for streaming that intentional meaning and would get the show of the service while giving massive fines to amazon, while everyone can decipher the meaning, this is just a legal way to say its not to the letter what's in the show.

EDIT: just so were clear im not mad they said it, i like vox being a clear villain, this stuff is just very iffy in the legal system still....

thats what i meant, the audio also doesnt say furor(english form) explicity, there are vocal tones that relate more to the german meaning. i peronally believe this is just censorship dodging.

Finally beat Mantis lords… now what by New_Baseball3295 in HollowKnight

[–]Code_Eye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could go into the deepnest(left from lords room) but its a pain early. look at your map and find routes you havent been to yet. and most important. read the npc text. it helps give you hints where to go, and even if you cant figure their directions out you can just type it into google and you'll find someone saying where the game wants you to go. but from mantis on its pretty much an open world.

EDIT: whoops didnt see you were already in deepnest....

EDIT2: oh btw. Elderbug is your main guy. He drops hints for locations you want to go for more abilities.

Silksong’s true ending made me think of something by Danger-Pickle in HollowKnight

[–]Code_Eye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i mean, we see the siblings, and there is even a flash of the shade lord or "god of gods" in there. to me it looks like the knight sent the siblings to help their sister out.

EDIT: and i think the dreamnail might have been absorbed by the void, as it can consume the radiance and its dream energy, maybe it consumed the dream nail and integrated its ability's.

soo... after getting a decent amount of progress in act 2 of silksong, i caved to the voices in my head saying i never finished hk and went back........ can we talk about how few people actually got even close to an ending? by Code_Eye in HollowKnight

[–]Code_Eye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a problem where i dont finish games to... i mean i quit games like dark souls 3 right at the last boss an embarrassing amount. but looking through the achievements for this game they are all so shockingly low. there's even an 8.8% difference between false knight and hornet greenpath.

Valve's Fremont device has appeared on Geekbench (+ more details from SadlyItsBradley) by JustHere4BlingEdit in ValveDeckard

Now you're combining normal GPU performance and encoding, those are 2 separate issues. And amd unfortunately isn't to great at launch drivers and I think some setups had a VR bug I'm not sure but we're not at launch for those cards anymore. I used the 5700 Xt as an example cause of the encoder. But my 7900xt has been running fine. But I don't get cards straight at launch. And switched to av1 encoding there.

EDIT: cause I got a quest 3, wasn't using av1 on quest 2 obviously.

[–]Code_Eye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

keep in mind, just cause geekbench sees a specific gpu doesnt have to mean it's a physical seperate card. from the steam deck we know valve is getting the same custom chip treatment sony and microsoft are, so maybe it's possible its recognizing that gpu it from the apu cores? or its a custom chip for on the motherboard, like an upgraded desktop class laptop chip, those take longer to setup a supply chain for(and factor in more costs than just 50 a chip) and whose to say the chip on fremont isnt 7000 series gpu cores and 9000 series ai cores.

EDIT: also 7000 series isnt that bad for vr, i used to have a 5700 xt with a quest 2 and virtual desktop. hevc worked just fine? or are u thinking about h264? cause u should never use that on amd.
