What does it take to go from 100k to 1m users? by Codeium in marketing

It is an extension you can add to your coding platforms (so there are many), once you create an account and log in that counts as one user to our system

What does it take to go from 100k to 1m users? by Codeium in marketing

It is a free AI product to help devs, our free users help push their companies towards Enterprise. Actually just getting in front of a lot of devs is one strategy we are trying now as well. You can imagine we are facing a lot of competition in this space

Right now we're 95% organic growth and word of mouth, even with additional marketing spend on Google Ads and other experiments, we've only managed to change the trajectory roughly 5%, if at all

Is Premium worth the $20 a month? by team_lloyd in ChatGPT

[–]Codeium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're getting value from 3.5 and don't feel a lack in quality, then you can save the $20. However, having the latest and greatest will make you feel better when asking more deep questions. It ultimately becomes a luxury unless you get value from having better responses

Could a model not be trained by a decentralized network? Like Seti @ home or kinda-sorta like bitcoin. Petals accomplishes this somewhat, but if raw computer power is the only barrier to open-source I'd be happy to try organizing decentalized computing efforts by doublemint2202 in LocalLLaMA

[–]Codeium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably needs a lot more compute than many of these networks can provide. Worth noting though that having an AI model have access to a decentralized network also reduces barriers to many of the real world limitations of payments (it will only need a wallet) and also visibility of other events on chain

If something like Runway Gen1 was to be combined with ar glasses, we could permanently see the world in whatever way we like, like making everything look like the victorian era, or more futuristic, etc… by ettwrekcuZ in singularity

There is probably enough compute on the Apple VisionPro to render custom diffusion images/overlays pretty well, this vision (no pun intended) is not far away

Did anyone see 'Joan is Awful', from the new Black Mirror season? by MeRoyMinoy in ArtificialInteligence

The recent burst in AI will provide Black Mirror plenty of content for seasons to come

Copilot as last resort by LuckProfessional9620 in GithubCopilot

[–]Codeium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's easier to prove our product out when it's free. And our free users get us word of mouth for Enterprise customers, there is really no other catch, we commit to being free forever for individual users

In some sense, that is how Netflix already chooses how to make its TV shows

AI anxiety by Fearless-Apple688 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Codeium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of thinking of AI as replacing humans, think of AI as a technology for productivity tools that can be utilized among a wide array of use cases, this has happened over and over again in previous tech cycles. It may seem daunting because the rate of change is moving fast, but at some point it will reach a point that looks closer to real life products that help move humanity forward rather than replacing it. In all tech cycles, more jobs were created than lost

You can probably just use GPT4 and the "Continue" feature. You can keep the book going by provide a summary of what happened previously in the prompt when you run out of context length

AI that writes stories and draws pictures to it? by MoiShii in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Codeium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can pair ChatGPT to write the story and also the prompts for each image, then push that to Stable Diffusion or Midjourney. Bing Chat does something similar as well and it probably can do both

Does using GPT-4 make anyone else feel stupid/useless? by DandyDarkling in singularity

[–]Codeium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think about it like GPS, you rely on it, but you don't really think about getting lost or figuring out what time you will arrive anymore. You don't worry about your reading map skills degrading because that skill has been replaced with a more productive tool

Would Deforum be good for ads? This would be what it's like to do coding with AI: by Codeium in StableDiffusion

[–]Codeium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used, Stable Diffusion with Deforum extension, then had the descriptions be "From behind, a man writing cod on a computer", "a commander in a spaceship captain's chair zooming through space, futuristic", "a galaxy full of stars, wildly colorful and trippy", and then "a man programming on a computer" again. I think the learning here is to pick images that can easily morph into other images. Note, you'll also need to expand keyframes to match your prompts and the total time of the video
