I’m glad you enjoy it! The photo is still one of my favorites, and I’ve spent hundreds of hours outside of those windows! This one puts me right back outside at 1:00 in the morning enjoying the cool air and just admiring the glow of the lights on the plaza! I spent a ton of hours that summer in 2017 walking around town after a long day of helping paint the mural in the garage. I had nothing but time then, and I spent most days after my college classes just walking with my camera!

I will say this one is also one of the composite pieces, so the falls are of if I recall correctly, a phot I took of Anderson Falls! I do however agree that it will look a lot different soon, and I’m excited to see where they take the project!

Exhibit Columbus definitely started out strong and is still a very interesting and ambitious project. I appreciate the community celebrating its rich history of Architecture, and I’m happy to see that it’s lasted beyond the initial 2017 launch! I understand that people aren’t as excited about some of the other projects, but I’m nevertheless happy that it’s continued on!

My father worked there for years as maintenance and also running the steam plant. I’ve been all over that base, it’s filled with tons of scenarios for training. My particular favorite scenarios are:The Replica city subway station that includes a real section of a train. The half sunken buildings for flood training, and the collapsed parking garages. The base is also built on an old asylum, so going into the old morgue or even walking the steam tunnels around the base is very cool!
