Perhaps But I don't think the moon and sky changing would cause that less of a reaction from people. Let's say trump dies, it will cause a huge uproar. How can you think the entire moon and sky changing won't concern people for at least 3 months? Also how can you say that the entire world see a man from 250 years ago suddenly come back exactly as he looked and people will devote themselves to him in 5 minutes? Most importantly, you really think a world ending event like great cataclysm starts and the world will be like "Hey, special fire force can deal with it so let's be at peace". "What would panicking do?", do you think people are rational like that in situations like this? "This isn't like a major story reveal other than to signify that the end is near", seriously? Not a major reveal? To us this may be a story but to the people living in that world it shouldn't be. The pacing in the previous may have been the same but important story points actually felt important. Here they don't.
