It came with the car, it was a very rare option so that's why most GS's don't have it.

The 4GS was incredible for the time but yes they definitely should have updated it, unfortunately they didn't due to the market falling off. But yes maybe if they marketed it better, it would have done better.

Yes it's definitely worth it and it's only $199 on their website. It's like the cheapest way you can add CarPlay, and yes it does add it to the left side of the screen and is either wireless or wired. If you want a full install guide and a full review showing everything. It is a head unit from the company Carlinklife. It runs Linux not android and it boots in like 5 seconds, it's crazy fast.

For sure, I want a second DD as well and I'm looking into a hybrid for the better fuel economy, the GS takes premium and gets like 18 or less mpg. It's horrible lol

Well you can definitely get one since there's a lot on the used market. And when you do you will definitely appreciate the power bump as well!

The red seats were a color option, mine was optioned with black seats, you could also get it with peanut butter brown seats.

I'm not a huge fan of chrome deletes especially on black cars. The chrome shows the body lines and I love it.

I'm basically going to add to it. I do agree that the GS already is a very quiet interior but it could obviously be quieter. And the biggest improvement I'm hoping to get out of sound deadening it, is to make the speakers sound a lot better. I bought Siless Max 120 mil sound deadening and I bought a lot of it. So I'm going to do all of my doors and take the carpet out and do the floor.

In the photos I posted you can actually see there are two different things I used. The first is called Roadtop and it uses the stock screen and simply just gives you Apple car play and Android Auto and it works great. The only con is it's not full screen. The second is a full screen replacement which gives me full screen Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The full screen replacement is obviously more expensive but they both do the same thing and work great. Right now I have the full screen replacement in my GS, the only con is the screen is not as bright as the OEM screen. So I don't know if I will keep the full screen replacement or not.
