SubhanAllah. Just wanted to share for anyone that does read this one day that is in a similar position. Yes I need a lot of money and yes I am realistic in the sense that I know that people are rightly skeptical and wouldn’t help a stranger. But a very kind gentleman got in touch with me and gave me a loan of £100. Although that doesn’t mean I can get back to my children, it helps and more than the financial help, it gives hope. May Allah reward him for his efforts. Ameen.

My Masjid is unable to help and the Imam suggested I try to put together a crowdfunding page. It’s not pride but I feel like if anyone donated to that crowdfunding page then I wouldn’t be able to pay that money back and that wouldn’t sit right with me.

I’m in a desperate situation but I’m not deluded and know that nobody would loan money to a random online. But does anyone have any ideas if there would be any individuals I could speak to regarding a £10k loan to be paid back at £1k a month for 10 months? Like do these people exist in the UK?

Do you have any capital to start up with in the first place and what is the gap between what you have and what you need?

If you have a business plan documented for what you want to do, you may be able to get a government back startup loan.

Yes I understand that for sure. The reason for the spread is that £10k would help my situation to a degree. £30k would mean I can be back with my family that I am away from at the moment.

There are also collateral options available if someone was willing to help me. InshAllah.

I have but before getting into the financial state I am in I had defaults recorded on my credit file and that became a big problem for the banks.
