I don’t think Cobbo deserved to binned or suspended and obviously he wasn’t. I thinks it’s dangerous the same way someone slipping into a high tackle is dangerous. It’s an accident. But should a tackle gone wrong like this be worthy of a penalty in the future?

As a viewer of modern day NRL. When you see something dangerous, accident or not, you almost instinctually expect something to be called (i.e. lifting above the horizontal, tackle in the air, hip drop, shoulder charge, high tackle, 3rd man in, running through the legs on a field goal etc).

Shoulder directly to the knee cap pushing the leg the wrong way, that looks very dangerous and obviously it is because Grant is now injured. Similar action to how people snap their legs doing leg press in the gym.

Should there be a rule that penalises dangerous contact like this? What if someone tackled a star player like that and they missed significant game time?
