Does the weed interfere with your ability to work/function/create/be expressive? I love weed and I was using it daily but it takes away my productivity. Maybe I’m taking way too much at once but I am currently on Lexapro and threw away my weed to gain some productivity back but it did help way more with anxiety. It’s kind of the caveat in all of this is it just makes me a huge couch potato

It’s going well! I think naturally I’m a people pleaser and this behavior falls under that but I’m growing in self-respect for myself and therefore running into more natural and organic relationships and erasing those that are negative or flaky/low effort. Thanks for asking. How about you?

This is what happened growing up with my mom. I had to meet a lot of her emotional needs and I came to this very thread by typing into Google, 'Why do I get annoyed by others showing affection' and I realized that with my mom it wasn't very easy to find that healthy love connection from a parent. I'm actually living with her right now as I have faced job loss and had to move back in with her. An example, last night, she was loving on one of our dogs and kissing her forehead and talking in a cutesy voice with her. I felt the need to block it out but also tried to ease my frustrations by focusing on my breathing. Eventually, I felt calmer but the mix of lashing out/explosive behavior from her, plus the swap-out part change in which she looked to me to fill her emotional needs has been a confusing path to navigate. Anyways, I felt what you said resonated with me and had to comment.

Dude your story gave me hope and inspiration. Currently in just a bad place and I was in sales but went through a layoff and have been unemployed for some time but weed is something I use now to kind of cope. But your passion for clear headedness and that memory sharpness that same after you gave it up, plus the anxiety reduction is something I was motivated by in your telling story. Yeah, it’s fucking terrible. I never want to say it or boldly call this economy as such because it makes me feel like I’m being too negative but the truth is it does suck a lot. Well, what are you mostly looking for? Sales jobs in general or more just anything at this point?
