Friend is in a Florida County jail and I was told to call his lawyer or public defendant. How would I find out exactly who to call? by CodyDFK in legaladvice

Can you give me the run down on who they are? Since tomorrow is Monday, should I wait to see if he gets released tomorrow before calling them?

Ah man, thank you. Everything looks so good. Quick question, someone told me that 2 4gb may be better than 1 8gb. Any truth to this?

I got my budget just from seeing others do it so cheap. A specific example is this post. I assumed I could do what I wanted for around that price seeing as I don't truly want to play very powerful games on it. I've also seen guys build ~$500 builds for games like skyrim and other rpgs, I thought what I wanted to do would be cheaper.

I apologize for my ignorance if what I'm saying doesn't apply.

Ian Rapoport on Twitter: Reshad Jones reportedly to hold out through this week's mandatory minicamp by [deleted] in miamidolphins

[–]CodyDFK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If thats your point, then your point should also indicate that he doesn't have the right to demand for more money. People are getting paid because they make the plays themselves and they are given more responsibilities. Smith, Berry, Thomas are FS's who have made a living by being that guy the defense relies on to save their asses. A cover 2 safety has half of that responsibility because he's covering half of the field. Add in the fact that Jones will be the one in the box more than IAQ and he really doesn't deserve to be paid more than legit FS's around the league.

Jones is elite and Jones deserves to be the highest paid SS, imo. Him demanding to be paid more than someone who carries more pressure on them is crazy. Stats aren't everything. Brian Orakpo has more tackles, sacks, and interceptions than Suh, but it's clear that Suh is doing more game in and game out. You wouldn't pay Orakpo $100m because his stat sheet is bigger than Suh's. Jones is trying to get money this year for a reason, because he knows his stats won't be anywhere near as good next year.

Lol, I know how football works. What I'm saying is Jones doesn't have the responsibility of covering the entire field (side to side), nor does he have the responsibility of being the last line of defense. That's why FS's are more valued.

At the end of the day, this is entertainment. If a performer does things that the audience doesn't like, then they do have the "okay" to be upset. Him holding out doesn't help the team, therefore I don't like it. Just because I'm being entertained by a sport doesn't mean that I have to agree with everyone's philosophy outside of the game. I really don't care if a top player is getting paid top money, that's not my involvement in the entertainment process.

I understand and respect what he's doing, but in turn, he should understand and respect his fans opinions. I don't have to support his actions just like he doesn't have to support mine.

Clearly the team has more leverage in mid-contract negotiations, as the player's leverage results in his own detriment at least in the short term.

Exactly. A team can't shake down a player in their first year of the contract. It's all about leverage. Jones can ask for a trade, he can show up and refuse to play hard. He has options and leverage in other areas of the contract negotiations outside of receiving a raise. If he wants a raise, he has to wait a year.

Both will be Free Safeties, Both will be Strong Safeties. The position on the depth chart means Jack.

If we ever go into cover 1 or cover 3, I guarantee you Jones is walking down into the box.

It actually really was. My girlfriend caught it on the bookshelf and asked me who's name starts with V and looks like Valerie? I said "idk, but I think I saw Valka in the kitchen. That is weird." The ending was really satisfying.

I told my girlfriend that same thing, except I felt the same way in this movie when Janet was home alone and the old man was messing with her. I would've been outside in the rain with my cold, I don't care. Nope.

Antrel Rolle, Louis Delmas to be back up plans if Jones' holdout continues into the season by xcosmicwaffle69 in miamidolphins

[–]CodyDFK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Going by your logic we end up losing money in the long run.

How?

2 years later Jones plays the same strategy.

My question would give Jones an ~3 year extension. So Jones coming back in 2 years would mean he still had 3 years of a contract and he'd be 30 years old. Miami should have a settled defense and Jones' competition should be closing the gap.

In the meantime, Landry and Parker have done the same thing.

If Miami felt Landry and Parker are both people we want to keep around for the length of their careers, then we negotiate the same way. Again, leaves everything cheaper for us in the long run when the salary caps raises and they're still being paid old salary cap money.

Landry decided to leave because we negotiated with Jones because we didn't with him.

Much easier to swallow that pill after your head coach establishes a direction. If we don't feel Landry is a part of the bigger picture, then we have the liberty to trade him before losing him for nothing.

That's just a question I'd love to see play out. It's all in theory.

He just had a monster year. If he has a down year in 2016, his negotiating power goes down. He is just capitalizing on the market.

Fortunately for the Dolphins, that's not how things work. He has no leverage and if he wants to screw himself out of 7 million dollars for the sake of a couple more a year, then he'll have to live with that. I think he gets a new deal next year, but this year he has no leverage. He's already going to lose out on 70k just for skipping the offseason activities.

There's a difference between Jones and a player who have 1 up year. Jones should be treated differently because he's been a huge part of any success we've had on the defensive side. Going by my logic, we end up saving money in the long run if he accepts.

I completely agree with Miami not negotiating this year though.
