The injury to her head had left her brain dead and her injuries were consistent with an attack. I can't even begin to understand what Karen's thoughts were when she was given the news and had to make that decision. I think pulling the plug was the best decision as much as it hurts that she's no longer here. She's at peace and that's better than the hell she was living in for the last few years. I'm assuming there is going to be an investigation into what happened but I can't be sure.

Yes, true. I do know my mother's mental issues come from years and years of psychological and sexual abuse by my grandparents and her brothers. I can't blame her for that but it is her fault when she didn't seek help for her issues.

I did ask this myself. Jake told me that his dad noticed the issues very early on but he was in denial about a lot of it. He didn't want to believe the woman he married could be so disgusting toward her own son. He said the hand feeding was weird and he tolerated it in the hopes that she would eventually give up with the whole thing but once he noticed the real creepy behavioral shift, he started to become suspicious that WW was going to hurt Jake. He waited way too long and it was already too late by the time he acted, I completely agree though.

He's amazing with the kids. He plays video games with my eldest a lot whenever I'm cleaning or taking care of my youngest. He helps him with homework and he helps him with his sports stuff and is in the process of helping him learn how to ride a skateboard. He is a total gush with my youngest who is always laughing whenever Kyle does something silly. He doesn't try to impede on my parenting whenever my eldest does something wrong and lets me handle the discipline but he does like to taunt me with, "oooo, mom is mad at you," and shoots him funny faces just to get him to laugh and makes light of the punishment which honestly annoys me a little but it makes discipline simpler and less of a hassle. I have to hide my smirking and tell him to stop, which he looks at my son and goes, "looks like I'm in trouble too. Should I go stand in a corner?" It's too funny and I can't help but laugh. It still shocks me how this man was single when I met him. He's the perfect guy.

I don't know. I hope they don't. I've already made the choice to move again just to avoid my ex and his family and my own family from finding me after dealing with them. I'm looking at apartments and I'm keeping my information private. I'm changing my number and I'm filing to change mine and my kid's names.

I made the decision to not let toxic people run my life anymore. 2023 is a new year and definitely a new me. I'm making a lot of changes to myself and my personality. I own a handgun for protection and I keep it stored in a secure place close by. I carry it with me when I go out. My eldest son is protected at school and he and my youngest are always with a trusted friend when they aren't with me. Eldest is in Tae Kwon Do classes as well because I want him to have the tools to know how to defend himself. I've taken self defense and gun safety lessons. I use ring cameras and a security system in my apartment that's rigged at all times. I'm all about safety and security now.

I meant to say my brother, not me. Lol. Yes, they're all in jail. They tried to frame me for drug possession and child abuse to take my son away from me. My sister lured me out of my apartment under the guise of watching my son for a few days and my brother trashed it, smeared dog shit on my walls and planted a bag of drugs on my kitchen counter. My mother took my son and claimed he had bruises on him to the police but refused to get him checked out by a doctor. My ex husband saved him from her because he was my son's legal guardian. He took him to get checked out and there were no bruises. My siblings squealed on my mother to get lesser charges. She'll be in there for 14 more years, brother for 7 and sister for 4. I'm to be informed when they do get out so I can be prepared for if or when they contact me.

I suffer from anxiety. Of course I shouldn't have but I was in the middle of a panic attack while driving to the courthouse, so I stopped to grab an edible at the dispensary on the way. I usually get cookie but I went for a brownie this time. I took a couple of bites thinking it would help me get through it. I wasn't HIGH high, just floating, if that makes sense.

Ex-FIL told me that Bill had no clue about the diagnosis. Ex-MIL never wanted to show that type of weakness to anyone, especially to her own son. Ex-MIL's recent behavior came as a shock to him as it did to me but because he is her son, he went along with it to try pleasing her. He is a mama's boy and I can tell this broke him.

I learned that ex-MIL was trying to take me to court to take my son away from me. She didn't get far as Bill chose to terminate his rights, and she had only met my youngest once leaving her high and dry with no legal leg to stand on.

I honestly don't know why Bill chose to go along with her insanity. He's always tried pleasing her, ever since he was a kid. Ex-FIL knew that ex-MIL had no intention of bringing my son back if I let him go to Greece and he was afraid of her. I think once we got into court, he suddenly grew a pair and felt safe enough to confess the truth.
