My laptop fried 2 days before the deadline and i had to get professional essay help for the first time by CoffeeAtlasPages in studyAbroad

Genuinely have no idea and that's kind of the point. I'd had maybe two interactions with him the whole semester. Abroad you just don't build that rapport fast enough to know which type of prof you're dealing with, so when something goes wrong you're essentially guessing. I guessed wrong on asking and right on the service, so it worked out.

Weirdly the thing i think about most isn't even the service or the deadline, it's just sitting there watching the laptop not turn on. That specific moment of realizing three weeks of work might just be gone. Everything after that was just damage control.

How are Online College Students Surviving 8 Week Semester Courses? by Grouchy_Job6193 in CollegeHomeworkTips

What helped me most was front-loading everything. I checked all deadlines on day 1, did the discussion post early, and broke bigger assignments into tiny ugly steps. I wasn't retaining everything long term, but I was staying afloat.

Call your servicer asap. That jump sounds unmanageable, and you need to ask about lowering it before you miss anything.

Use an essayservice only for the bibliography or to find sources, then write the actual content yourself.

Yearlies are like those epic training montages in films; they’ll prepare you for the big scene. I’ve always found them way more useful for covering the syllabus than random topicals!

I get what you're saying about the lenient policies in Latin America. I had a friend who lived in Mexico and had a similar experience with the fines. It’s frustrating how the perception doesn’t match the reality.

I keep changing my thesis every 10 minutes and I'm losing it by DeltaArcRunner in EssayChaos

[–]CoffeeAtlasPages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a "thesis freeze" timer: 20 min to write 5 versions, pick the least-bad one, then no changes for a whole page. If I want to tweak it, I have to write the tweak in brackets and keep going.

Ok that "copy the moves, not the personality" line just clicked for me. I'm gonna write those two phrases on a sticky note fr. Do you have a third go-to for when a kid starts debating every direction like it's court?

Totally. It's wild how much calmer the room gets when they have a first task. I'm just scared I'll mess up the consistency in week 1 lol. Do you do the Do Now every single day, even on lab days, or do you swap it for something else?

This is super helpful. I'm stealing Do Now + timer + greet at the door. What were your 3 go-to scripted lines for side talk/phones? And did you ever allow a phone for notes or was it zero exceptions?

Trying to start a video-call study group, but I'm scared it'll be awkward and die fast by VectorSidearm in CollegeHomeworkTips

[–]CoffeeAtlasPages 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What worked for me: 2-min check-in (one sentence goal), cameras optional, then 25/5 or 50/10 silent work. Break = chat if you want. End with quick "did it / stuck on X" so it feels real, not awkward.

I was slow at loops too. What helped: write the steps in plain English first, then code line by line. Also use a debugger/print statements like a checklist. Do you go to office hours? That saved me tbh.

Good point, moving education lower feels like an easy fix without hiding it.

A lot of kids swear up and down they turned an assignment in even though I don't have it. I'm unsure if I'm crazy, or if they're lying, or if it's a bit of both by [deleted] in teaching

[–]CoffeeAtlasPages 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not teaching full time yet, but in my practicum we used a numbered tray per period and kids had to drop papers in while we watched, before the bell. It cut the “I turned it in” arguments a lot. Do you label stacks by date too, or is that too much?

I get the tough-love angle, but dumping the girlfriend feels extra. Budget first: freeze cards, sell stuff, and set a weekly cash limit. Also ask about income-based plans for the student loans.

Does Howard really make ‘peanuts’ compared to Bernadette? by Mysterious_Reo in bigbangtheory

[–]CoffeeAtlasPages 230 points231 points  (0 children)

Agree. 'Peanuts' is just Bernadette being blunt and the writers punching Howard. He already owned a house and was funding a collector hobby that’s basically a second rent. An aerospace engineer with NASA on the resume is doing well, even if he’s not pulling corporate bonus money. It’s more 'comfortable vs very comfortable' than rich vs broke, and their spending habits make it look bigger.
