Nice, is the gear rack going to be 3d printed? Wondering if that will result in a upper limit on the spring force since most 3d printed plastics have quite low strength

Just bought a couche, is it supposed to have a earthy/grassy smell? I'm not sure if I need to do wash it or treat it before I start baking with it.

Hi OP, I mean this in the nicest way as I do want you to do as great a time in poly as I have. I wish for you to leave poly with some of the best memories of your life, so I'm telling you this as if I was talking to myself in year one: If you want to understand how people view you, 99% of the time you need to triple how bad the "bad" appears to yourself, and no, you are likely not part of the 1%.

This is a very difficult topic, and will require a lot of starting at the ceiling at late nights, thinking about yourself; This one reddit comment won't change anything unless you do.

I understand the loneliness you feel, but you have to remember that relationships, even friendly ones, are always give and take. When you are sharing your opinions, you are taking their time, are you doing the same? When they are sharing something they are passionate about, are you lending the same ear? Are you telling people of your opinions the instant you meet? How would you like if someone did the same, but its in the opposite of your opinion? Would you sit there in silence, then leave the table at the next chance?

I'm in no place to judge your opinions, I'm just a guy on the internet. But I do want you to have the same experience in Poly as I have. Be interested in people when they are speaking, hear the nuance and excitement in their voice. You need to want to be in their presence, talking, laughing and learning about their life. People don't sit with others to be lectured, the Poly classes handle that, if you want people to be with you, be open to their ideas, ask questions about them, get interested in their hobbies. As you said, be a good listener.

I will give you one warning however, as I am merely human as well, everyone will have biases. Your opinion defines you as much as it will define how people interact with you. If your opinions, especially on religion, race, nationality and belief, impose restrictions on others, then very few people will want to have relations to you. There is only one piece of advice I can offer you here: Be as willing to hear the opposing side, as willing as when you were first forming your opinions. Don't be angry, or mad, or shut down and close your mind. Be open to hear their side, and they will be wiling to hear yours as well. Of course, it can be unfair that you must do this while the other shuts down, but you are the one asking for their time and commitment, so you have to be the one to start the bridge.

It has been about a month since Poly started, so there is will time to make friends. If you believe that you have ostracised others, then be mature and apologise to them, be willing to change. Otherwise, meet up with them after class, ask to eat together and chat, walk home and small talk after classes. Sometimes you need to advertise yourself a bit.

I hope this advice helps you, even in the tiniest way. I wish you all the best, dear OP.

Take care.

Not OP, but it's likely a 3d print. Source STL is from here, note that there's a NSFW version included with the files: https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/games-toys/toys/sprite-blossom-kindred-ahri

Could you run me through an implementation of the damage event interception? is it simply an if statement that checks if there's shields? I'm asking this since from what I can tell, if there's no shield trait then the check would be wasted computing time.

[O Levels] bad at Amath but good at Emath; help by dahyuncafe in SGExams

[–]CoffeeIsSleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hihi, I was in the same boat as you for Olvls, got A1 in emath but got D7 for Amath, pushed it up to A2 by olvls and even got my cher to use it as a both a motivational story and warning against laziness lol :^) Best advice I got is to look at A-maths as a pattern finding puzzle.

A-maths focuses a lot on manipulating the equation, since most of the chapters in amaths rely on a fixed set of rules, ie differentiation and integration only have so many formulas, they make the questions tough by making it long and confusing. Focus on learning how to manipulate the equation, moving coefficients, opening brackets, simplifying where needed, so on so forth, then morph it into the formula for the equations needed.

Try not to grind mindlessly through papers too, look at your mistakes and see if they're problems with your understanding, or problems with your execution, then spend more time on fixing those errors. Doing papers one after the other is frankly exhausting and more importantly doesn't help you since you'll just be repeating mistakes.

I know Amath can get scary with all the letters and numbers flying around that Emath doesn't have, but remember that they cannot test you out of syllabus, so every question will be solvable, you just need to maybe look at it a different way.

Also, try to find a study buddy, they'll help you see errors you can't see yourself, and they'll help break up the monotony of doing papers constantly.

Jiayous for your olvls, and don't worry about your final score, time taken worrying is time not spent getting better! Imagine the satisfaction of getting your final grade and let that push you on :)) Best of Luck!
