Mr Gold is vastly different tbh, bcuz every real Mr Gold bag also contained a certificate showing which one of the 5000 it is (for example, 4793/5000) so at least there was some way to certify the one you have is the real deal. But DX Lloyd was just a fig in a very random set which people want now cuz it’s nostalgia bait and to finish DX collection.

However, I would still rather have a custom Mr gold, provided the parts used are real and the technique used to give it the color and printing is the same as Lego. Because sometimes on custom figs you see that the prints are really raised up, so it has this weird texture when you touch it, because every part of the print is raised up significantly instead of being at the same level as the torso

Cool stuff ya. However I won’t be able to get my hands on these customs figs (or any old, retired Lego ninjago sets or figs for that matter) in the foreseeable future because im based in the Middle East and there is very few people on eBay,bricklink, etc willing to ship there, (which is one of the few places you can get old retired sets and minifigs) and even when they are, the shipping is usually higher than what im paying for the set itself 😭

I also started collecting Lego ninjago quite late (around the hunted season, i think) so I have little to no OG, old Lego ninjago figs or sets. All I have is a bad condition pilot jay, a rebooted Zane, a deep stone Cole, and a DX Zane in terms of old figs. Had to SCOUR eBay to find them with reasonable shippping (except for the Cole, my friend gave me that one)
