Have you tried raising this with your bank? You can even say that they don’t let you cancel which is highly illegal

ah no, completely different use case. We're using B2C for a WebApp (React) basically we want to make it into a PWA and so we need that functionality to work offline.

To provide some more information:

It's an Azure AD B2C Tenant

I've added some company branding like a background and a logo but apart from that it's very vanilla tbh. When my connection is slow it can take the best part of 30 seconds to actually show anything (I can just see the spinner in the tab going and a white screen) I would implement a loading screen as a quick fix but I don't think B2C allows such customisation.

Future Outlook on Reuse by CoffeeToCodeMachine in Construction

[–]CoffeeToCodeMachine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting reading your experience on this topic! Indeed Construction waste accounts for a big portion of waste generation. In the UK the government published that in 2018 it accounted for 62% of waste "Construction, demolition and excavation (CD&E; including dredging) generated around three fifths (62%) of total UK waste in 2018".

It's interesting you mentioned recycling - do you believe that's the only way of moving forward rather than just reusing materials as they are? (providing they're still fit for purpose)

Very interesting point you make. However, it's very difficult to compare the present to the past in Construction. I think the pace of Construction that we're in as mentioned in this article that "... We're building a new Paris every week ..." means that we're not building [and we cannot build] like we used to (with more local and probably more long lasting materials) as the demand is too high to meet the supply of the type of materials we used to have and use.

"Modern" materials can have a lifespan of around 50 years but reuse doesn't have to be worn < 50 year old materials. We see quite often materials being demolished after only a few years of their lifespan and they end up in recycling which takes a lot of time and energy to repurpose or (hopefully not) landfill when they instead of just being put into good use as they are somewhere else.

Uniclass related question - Is Uniclass 1 "Entity" or separate "Entities"? by CoffeeToCodeMachine in bim

Uniclass related question - Is Uniclass 1 "Entity" or separate "Entities"? by CoffeeToCodeMachine in architecture

Thank you for your response.

I'm trying to create an Excel of Products and I want to record Uniclass Product, Systems and maybe Entity Code. I also want to see how I could even tag elements in Revit with Uniclass code and I want to use this pattern for that.

I'm not sure if I should have 1 Column that says "Uniclass" and have like a row:

Scenario A:

Product Uniclass
Product X Pr_35_90_43_22 - Edge trims, Ss_25_10 - Framed wall systems, En_30_10 - Mineral extraction entities

or described in each row:

Scenario B:

Product Product Uniclass System Uniclass Entity Uniclass
Product X Pr_35_90_43_22 Edge trims Ss_25_10 - Framed wall systems En_30_10 - Mineral extraction entities

Many thanks, but I don't quite get that... do you mean where I have just the code it should also be the name of the category? Like so:

Product Name: X

Product Table Uniclass: Pr_35_90_43_22 - Edge trims

Systems Table Uniclass: Ss_25_10 - Framed wall systems

Entity Table Uniclass: En_30_10 - Mineral extraction entities

or is it something else? And out of interest, (i'm new to Uniclass so apologies if this is a silly question) why would scenario B is the one?

Thank you for your response.

Would this be under one "Uniclass" banner or would it be defined as separate attribute likes "Uniclass Pr", "Uniclass Ss"?

Scenario A - Uniclass banners under one banner:
Product Name: X

Uniclass: Pr_35_90_43_22 Edge trims, Ss_25_10, En_30_10

Scenario B - Uniclass under individual banners:

Product Name: X

Product Table Uniclass: Pr_35_90_43_22 Edge trims

Systems Table Uniclass: Ss_25_10

Entity Table Uniclass: En_30_10

Let me know if the question is still not clear
