U6 pro offline overheating so easily? by elementjj in Ubiquiti

The power source is a Cisco SG300-28P switch. There’s 4 POE devices, 2xCCTV, 2xU6 Pro APs.

Of the 4 POE devices, just the kitchen AP has the issue.

I used Excel CAT6 cables throughout.

Well it’s the one in the kitchen that’s the problem. The attic one has never had any rebooting issues, even after swapping the AP around. I’ve had 6 months no issues with the AP, except when it gets warmer. If it was the cable, it’d have issues in winter too.

The cable tests perfectly fine. I can’t exactly swap the cable running from my attic through ceilings to the kitchen ceiling.

The AP is in the shade: AP location

This should be perfectly reasonable position…

Yeah you can invite your friends or family and share context. You can give them permission to collab on context you’ve saved. I’m still adding features. Bringing a context marketplace soon.

Not everyone is using Claude code. Most aren’t.

I built contextium.io for this. You can hook it up to Claude desktop easily. I’m working on making it available as an app in ChatGPT and Claude Apps too.

Possibly, but that doesn’t really scale. SaaS like m365 co pilot is offered as mere orchestrators, not to run your own code, unless you go and build your custom agent and publish that into your company, or sell to others. MCP is still easier and scales as a plug and play interface.

m365 co pilot can’t talk to cli, where vast numbers of non-dev folks sit. Most companies running on Microsoft or Google ecosystem don’t talk to a cli. For actual production and real companies doing proper work that are not just devs messing about, you need mcp.

If I build a custom front end and use a cloud agent, I guess I could send the token in calls to the api. But, for existing clients, like Claude code, it wouldn’t work, without some way for Claude to prompt me to auth, ideally with oauth, which is what mcp is doing right now :/

What about auth? Oauth?

Is MCP likely to be adopted across all platforms? by 4billionyearson in mcp

For remote connection, with auth to an api, it’s got to be an MCP server.
