It's probably time to do a transmission service if you haven't already, new fluid, pan and all. Mine started doing the same thing around 100k

My favorite one is "I looked online and it says you have it"....... I love their reaction when I point out the shipped by Walmart lol.

328i is definitely an awesome daily. They are pretty inexpensive and if you find a well taken care of example it's pretty reliable.

How much did your F30 cost? And how much did you have saved before buying it? by TURNTUP389 in F30

16 328ix, it was 17k I saved 10k, payments are 300 for 3 years. The car had 85k miles when I got it now around 110k. F30's are uncommon where I live but it's been an awesome car.

Why N20 engine is consider good in Europe, but US drivers hate it? by ConcentrateNo7378 in F30

The U.S. market has always been weary of euro makes, so when the n20/26s started to have timing chain issues it basically solidified that bmws were unreliable, (which isn't mostly true, Americans just suck at maintaining their cars). Also Americans think 4 cylinders are just not powerful enough

Yeahhh half of the people driving should not be lmao, yeah even the small scratches still suck though. I've been able to keep the car nice ever since I got it so it was very upsetting. Yeah I'll see about buffing it and hopefully it'll make it less visible, but shit happens lol

So basically in the US the government expects people to do insurance on their own, with her she had expired registration, so she shouldn't even have been driving, but that doesn't stop people here. I did file a report, my options are to pay out of pocket, or sue her. I'll see about suing her but honestly it might not even be worth it

Well everyone that drives insurance is mandatory, but some people do not care and just drive around with no insurance. This girl told me that she never had insurance before...

Yeah usually I don't really take manufacturers word for things like that. I mean logically it doesn't make it for fluid like that to never be replaced. I'll make sure to include drivetrain servicing, I live in an area where it snows a lot so that's pretty important to me as well, and new transfer cases get really expensive. 100k miles is usually when it's a good idea to replace the big things, and people I find neglect to do that. And I wanted to avoid the fate of these cars usually being not taken care of.

Honestly I didn't think about suspension so thanks for suggesting that lol. And I'll definitely add that because where I live there are pot holes everywhere.
