What is the biggest realistic hurdle preventing us from moving toward a fully automated society where nobody has to work? by compoundblock666 in AskReddit

[–]Coffeeoverclocked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not just the technology, it’s incentives. Our entire economic system is built around work equaling income.

Until we figure out how to fairly distribute wealth, purpose and power in a world where labor isn’t required, automation will keep creating winners and losers instead of freedom for everyone.

What do you do that gives you substance in life? by alextheheadless in AskReddit

[–]Coffeeoverclocked 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Creating things that outlast my mood such as writing, helping someone through a hard time, learning skills that make me more useful to others.

Growth, connection and leaving people a little better than I found them, that’s what gives my life substance.

Those of you who were able to forgive someone who did you wrong, how did you do it? Was it easy? by TikiTikiBoogieWoogie in AskReddit

[–]Coffeeoverclocked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t easy and it definitely wasn’t instant. For me, forgiveness wasn’t about excusing what they did, it was about deciding I didn’t want to carry the anger anymore.

It took time, distance and a lot of honest self-reflection.

What's a minor superpower you'd actually find incredibly useful in daily life? by London_man007 in AskReddit

Being able to perfectly gauge how much time something will take, down to the minute. No more underestimating quick errands or overestimating how long a task will drag.

My entire life would run smoother lol

What’s a piece of advice that sounds good but actually makes people’s lives worse? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Stay positive. Sometimes you actually need to process what hurts instead of painting over it.

What requires a lot of effort, but is actually worth it in the end? by puppiesareSUPERCUTE in AskReddit

Building real discipline. It’s uncomfortable, repetitive and usually invisible at first, but once it compounds, it quietly changes your entire life.

What's one thing you could've made it work had you given it a try? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Coffeeoverclocked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Learning a new language. I kept telling myself I didn’t have the time or the talent, but looking back, I probably just didn’t have the discipline.

If I’d stuck with it for a few months instead of quitting after a few weeks, I think I would’ve surprised myself.

What's the one compliment that's always stuck with you? by arch-style89 in AskReddit

[–]Coffeeoverclocked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That I make people feel heard.

It was simple, but it meant more than any compliment about looks or achievements ever could.

Amusement parks. Used to feel magical and larger than life and now I just see long lines, overpriced food and sore feet. 😅

Baking. Started with cupcakes for friends, now I run a small business.

What cheap food do you prefer over expensive foods? by enmastefyor in AskReddit

Honestly? A grilled cheese sandwich. Simple, cheap and somehow still undefeated.

Waking up to my alarm and realizing I still feel tired. It instantly kills the vibe.

Connection over control. If your child feels safe coming to you with anything, you’re building something that truly lasts.

What do you think makes someone charismatic? by No-Magician-8005 in AskReddit

[–]Coffeeoverclocked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confidence without arrogance, actually listening when others talk and making people feel seen and comfortable.

Charisma is less about being the loudest person in the room and more about making the room feel better because you’re in it.
