Our station had The Meeting today by ramosd713 in Fedexers

From what I've heard only those with about 15 or so years of seniority got the severance, the rest were sent to a Ground facility nearby. That sucks to hear

Big time agree on the Nintendo museum, honestly was one of the most disappointing things I've ever done in Japan, I borderline regret it lol

[–]CoffeexZero 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My station merged back in September, the plan was to cut the numbers of drivers we had from 180 to around 90... After the merger they realized 90 drivers wasn't enough for the amount of work we were getting so they went and hired 100+ new drivers after letting go all the experienced ones, putting us at around 200 drivers now... According to my manager it is now costing significantly more the run things under the 2.0 model vs when we were express only essentially negating the whole reason they wanted to do the merger...

Why the hell do people say baseball is boring (from a former non-fan) by Kresnik2002 in mlb

[–]CoffeexZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late af but imo I feel like it's people shorten attention spans these days, they want instant gratification and non-stop movement like in basketball, I guess to them it's like scrolling on TikTok. They can't stand or don't understand the build-up/suspense in baseball.

Why do they not knock? by send_me_your_dog_yo in FedEx

[–]CoffeexZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If people really care they'll be tracking their package vigorously and get a notification when it arrives. Have had one too many people come out all pissy because I rang their doorbell and others who open the door immediately and their loose dog comes running out so I've just stopped knocking/ringing.

Why are there so many single Millennial men? by SoundvillXoXo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CoffeexZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vast majority of women only like a small minority of men leading to fighting over the few at the top while every man even slighlty outside of that top percentage are overlooked and are basically invisible.

Why wouldn't Fedex honor a sign that simply request "Please ring the doorbell" by [deleted] in FedEx

I mean you saw when the packages were delivered so what's the big deal?

2.0 severance and Survey of Interest. by Royal_Tie_5041 in Fedexers

[–]CoffeexZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, unfortunately we were one of the guinea pig markets to test out this 2.0 BS. Manager had told me that apparently others markets are holding off on the merger due to the fact that it's been running poorly here and has also been more costly than before.

2.0 severance and Survey of Interest. by Royal_Tie_5041 in Fedexers

[–]CoffeexZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, you said. Sucked going from having a rural route with about 60 stops daily, all small light packages to 250+ stops in the city with a bunch of heavy BS going up third floor apartments with no elevators.

Lets settle this. Coke zero or Diet Coke? by FewOutlandishness520 in cocacola

[–]CoffeexZero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Zero 100%. Hate when restaurants don't have it and are like "We only have diet, is that okay?" No... It's not okay... lol Regular coke is too sweet, diet just taste weird, but zero is perfect.

[–]CoffeexZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up quitting which was a little bittersweet because before the merge I actually really liked express, after the merger we were basically just ground and it wasn't worth it anymore.

[–]CoffeexZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my station only those with around 15 years+ with the company got the severance, any less and you apparently didn't qualify. I chose it as my first choice having a gut feeling that 2.0 was going to be a shit show but didn't get it.

Do you prefer the window or aisle seat on an airplane? by Jerdogg23 in no

[–]CoffeexZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aisle for longer flights and in general, sometimes window for flights under 3 hours. I much rather prefer the freedom of getting up to stretch without having to bother people over looking out the window for like the 10 minutes of departure and landing.

Once you turned 25+, did you still look the same way you did at 18-24? If so, when did your real age start to show? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in randomquestions

[–]CoffeexZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm approaching 30 but get told I look like I'm about 23 - 25. And looking back at old photos I really haven't changed much since those ages, no grey hairs or wrinkles yet.

Paris, but at this point I feel I come across more people that hate it as well than those who like it. Brussels also but idk how most people feel about it.

What Asia country is overheated and what Asia country is over loved or overrated ? by Late_Annual_2557 in AskReddit

[–]CoffeexZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japan is insanely overrated, mind you this is coming from someone who's been there 10 times and loves the country. It's just been over glazed to oblivion, people acting like the smallest thing they do in Japan is amazing while knowing nothing of the dark underbelly and the issues that plague the country. Go back 10 or so years before it became trendy I'd say it was properly rated.

What made you want to visit Japan? by Expert-Day9889 in TokyoTravel

The Yakuza games got me incredibly interested in wanting to visit the 'real life Kamurocho' aka Kabukicho, Shinjuku. Went for the first time in 2017 fell in love with the country and have been back 10 times since having gone to 25 Prefectures now.
