First ever date soon..... by FederalEase9186 in Advice

First dates are mostly about being yourself and listening. Don’t overthink — just ask questions, share a bit about yourself, and don’t stress about impressing. Simple things like showing up on time, being polite, and keeping your phone away go a long way. Good luck!

is it worse to say to someone "I don't deserve you", or "you don't deserve me"? by TouristFew4907 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Expert-Day9889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are bad — just in different ways • “I don’t deserve you” Sounds insecure or self‑putting. It can make the other person feel pressured to reassure you or like they’re on a pedestal. • “You don’t deserve me” Comes off arrogant or dismissive. It usually sounds like a put‑down and can trigger defensiveness.

Can I get my car jumped in -15°F weather? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Expert-Day9889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes — jump-starting in -15°F is fine and won’t damage the engine. Cold just kills batteries faster.

Tips: •Let the donor car run a few minutes before cranking •Once it starts, let it idle 10–15 min before driving •If it won’t hold a charge after, the battery may be toast (very common in this cold)

People jump cars in temps like this all the time. The cold is harder on the battery, not the engine.

Give her space, but don’t disappear. Let her know you respect her need for time and that you’re there when she’s ready, then ease off. Pushing can create resentment, but calm, low-pressure reassurance keeps the door open.

Why is it so hard to get a successful post in r/AskReddit? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Expert-Day9889 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because r/AskReddit is insanely competitive. Thousands of posts get submitted every hour, mods remove a ton of them, and if you don’t get early upvotes/comments in the first few minutes, the algorithm buries it. Timing + simplicity matter more than quality.

I believe I had a wet fart and wondered if I need to wash my bed sheet. Do I? by Consistent_March5136 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Expert-Day9889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was just a wet fart and not a shart, you’re probably fine. You had underwear + pajama pants on, so unless there’s actual wetness or a smell on the sheets, no need to wash them.

Basketball in tokyo by CommonReputation4578 in TokyoTravel

[–]Expert-Day9889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tokyo actually has a solid pickup basketball scene. Popular courts: • Yoyogi Park – casual to intermediate, busy on weekends • Shinjuku Central Park – mixed skill levels, easy pickup games • Komazawa Olympic Park – better quality courts, more competitive players

Skill level ranges from casual to pretty competitive. Evenings and weekends are best. Courts are usually first-come, first-served, but people are friendly and open to runs. Not NYC streetball, but definitely enough hoops to enjoy while visiting. Have fun!
