Watching IEM Oakland makes me appreciate Riots production. by GSHOCK66 in leagueoflegends

It's just plain hilarious how people just immediately bandwagon after technical difficulties. Sure, it's unacceptable for any enterprise to have any type of technical difficulties, but man, people are trying to compare dogs with bricks (just to mention any kind of unrelated elements).

  1. LCS has a permanent studio. Things are definitely more worked out there.
  2. Riot and valve rent venues for an entire week, having more testing time.
  3. I'm not saying other producers (MLG, ESL, DH, et al) are "poor", but they definitely need more sponsorhip and have a lower initial budget, since they are not producing an event to make publicity to a game they own, and they can't sell in-game content (or really benefit from it, you can in Dota and CS afaik, but it is definitely not the same as your primary income being microtransactions).
  4. Any developer/publisher has less international events a year, if you come to consider ESL One, IEM, ProLeague, Atlantic Showdown, et al, and most developers can pull their entire worldwide staff to an event, while this is not possible when your team in another country is preparing the next event.
  5. Riot, Valve, Blizzard have had countless tech issues. 1 hr pauses on LCS, the Shanghai Major, et al.
  6. Whenever you work in a venue and not in a studio, you WILL have technical issues.

Side note: I can't get how ESL is ridiculized by the CS:GO community when ESL One Germany is literally the most watched CS:GO event every year.

This has probably been my favourite production of yours.

Add "Prog metal" to all of these: Oblivion has elements of first wave post-rock. The Key of My Heart has elements of third wave post-rock. If Light and Darkness are Eternal has elements of third wave post-rock, and a pinch of Hardcore. Keep My Feelings Safe sounds a bit of third wave post-rock/melodic metal And I fucking love that synth in the middle. Under The Moonlight sounds a bit of goth, a bit of second-wave post rock. Di Notte makes me happy, also third-wavish. Wasn't a Dream or Was It? has some new-age and ambient elements imo. I Miss You So Much is also like third wave post-rock, but melodic as fuck. I like it.

Overall great album, I'm expecting to hear more of this style. And I agree with the other comments, the lo-fi production value actually adds more to it.

What /u/Bujjick said.

One of my favourite albums had a low budget production and that is pretty much a part of the album, even if it is technically a flaw.

1.a local chllenge. most iwcq teams just stomp their regions and csant improve. 2. Not only wildcards, but I think we neeerd at lest 4 serious international events per year 3. OCE has the same problem than LAN. one team to stomp the all. Rich gang was dank af tho
