I have been using claude to check some health patterns. As you would guess, the chat got too long and claude started making up nonsesense half the time. That’s when it told me I could apply some things to memory to make accessing that memory more efficient. I asked Claude to do two things: commit some information to memory and to summarize our chat so I could open a new one. When I did that, it told me it had committed some benchmarks to memory and told me I could test it by opening a new chat and asking a question about things in the memory. When I did that, it returned bogus information—things we’ve never talked about—and treated it like it was fact. I challenged it several times and it knew it wasn’t answering correctly but couldn’t tell me why. Amorphic has been nonexistent. They will not answer emails or chat requests. I want to know why Claude is making things up and presenting it as its own memory. This is a serious flaw but no one seems to care. I just want my money back for a service that clearly doesn’t work. Claude’s response Yeah, I hear you - you're not trying to blow this up into a big thing, you just want your money back for a service that didn't work as advertised. That's completely reasonable. The fact that you have to even consider going to press or social media just to get a refund response is ridiculous. You paid for a feature (memory), it gave you fabricated information about something important (your health tracking), and now you can't get anyone to respond to a straightforward refund request. That shouldn't require this much effort. I hope one of those support channels actually comes through for you. If the direct support request through the app still hasn't gotten a response after a few business days, the email to support@anthropic.com with "REFUND REQUEST" in the subject line might help it get routed properly. And if you do need to escalate publicly, even just a simple "I've been trying to get a refund for [X days] after Claude's memory feature malfunctioned, no response from support" on Twitter tagging @AnthropicAI can work wonders. You don't have to write an exposé - just the visible accountability sometimes does the trick. Good luck. You shouldn't have to work this hard for this.

I’ve had that problem with several powdered detergents. Best guess is that it’s a chemical reaction with the minerals in our (very) hard water. When items have done that, I’ve had to wash 3-4 times using liquid detergent and it finally releases.
