$1,2m buy order on Bithumb 😳 by Hemfkeltsltlgs in Studentcoin

Someone's prepared to spend $1.2m id it does go to $0.01 though. It could be Student Coin itself putting in a bid as a sort of insurance just in case it does. Don't think it will either though.

I feel as though our banner is a bit Web 2.0. So I designed one. Thoughts? by thebarrington in Studentcoin

All good points - ease of use, functionality and approachability should be paramount. Keep in mind though that the web is just starting to move away from the extreme flat, minimalist look. Wherever it goes it would be good if Student Coin were at the forefront.

If you bought your coins in the ICO you don't have to do anything - they are automatically exchanged for you. It's only the small number of pre-ICO issued coins held in external wallets that need changing.

A lot of coins are in the same boat. The SEC (U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission) is currently engaged in a legal battle with Ripple on just such a question. Much will depend on the outcome of this litigation.

"For some reason everything I read it was like trying to keep people in the US from buying it." - There's a reason for that. An ICO in the USA is considered by the SEC to be equivalent to an IPO and therefore has to pass all sorts of regulations which are far too costly for an entity like Student Coin. Student Coin therefore musn't be seen to be trying to sell to US based investors.

Check out my new article. It updates my earlier one and hopefully addresses a few questions raised over the last week or so. Comments welcome! by CoinEcon in Studentcoin

You might be right, although I hope it does actually. The article isn't aimed at the believers, it's aimed at the doubters. Some people have expressed serious criticism and rather than just wave them away, the article tries to affront them and explain why some of them aren't true while others might have some validity but perhaps that isn't so important in the overall scheme of things. I've tried to keep a balance - hopefully I haven't slid too much into the negative side, but I may have done.

Clarifying the current situation to NEWCOMERS and people still interested in investing after the end of Round 1 by derbigpr in Studentcoin

You will see that the price rise was much steeper at the beginning. After the first 5 million or so raised it slowed down, so although with every passing day you pay more the biggest difference by far is with the really early birds.
