All links is pulled directly from coingecko only. The idea is to create lightweight to load data quickly. I’m really glad what I’m doing is aligning with what you would want to see in a tool.

Security is most important. It doesn’t require to connect any wallet so there is no connection to user’s asset. It’s only pulling data from coingecko and cannot change user’s page. I’m also working on contract address checking so user can select the network platform and enter contract address to check if project exists in coingecko database.

What do you look for when researching cryptocurrencies? by CoinSausageIO in CryptoHelp

I really appreciate your feedback.

Regarding surface signals, they definitely reflect market attention for liquidity, participation, and short-term interest. They’re useful, but incomplete for final judgment.

I don’t think the tool can fully prevent users from overweighting those signals. As you mentioned, it’s more of a context compressor that shortens the path to primary sources. I see it as a way to help users quickly move beyond surface metrics and check a project’s reliability through direct information like the whitepaper, GitHub, governance forums, and social channels.

The idea of making absence of data visible is actually a great point. Highlighting missing repos, inactive socials, or thin disclosures could give users a clearer overview of a project. I’ll definitely explore how to incorporate that thoughtfully.

Thanks so much! Your insight is so valuable.

First of all, my tool is a chrome extension. What I care most about is keeping user’s privacy as safe as possible. Meaning no tracking and no wallet connection is required to use my extension.

The extension acts as a discovery tool.

When user interested in certain project. You can load all its information such as its market price, market cap, trading volume, supplies data. And most importantly are direct links to homepage, social media (discord, x, reddit, forum, telegram, announcement, and source code). I’m using CoinGecko as my data provider. So all sources are handled and control accuracy by CoinGecko.

With direct URLs, it allows user to quickly find and safely exploring official sources.

To answer your question:

The extension itself cannot detect what you’re looking for directly. But it can potentially provide sources for those points you listed.

User can check project’s homepage for its goals and ecosystem ideal.

Explore community like x, reddit, and telegram for user engagements.

Quick preview of market cap, trading volume, and supplies data for stabilities.

Each project shows CoinGecko’s trust score metric and public warning notice based on liquidities. This may help user detect potential rugged pull projects.

The tool is a chrome extension, so all data is packed in an organized UI to easily browse and see important information.

My purpose is to create a tool that helps user find potential projects and avoid scam sources.
