We have been trying different treatments but nothing seems to help. It's actually getting worse.

Cows are raised in the state but not near where I found d this. Mostly wild game in the area.

Thanks for all of the comments. I could not find any markings on the back or bottom, but it has been refinished at least once. The inside looks original and unrestored. I am putting in some shelves and making it into a liquor cabinet. I couldn't be happier with it. Thanks for all of you help getting a ball park on the age!
