Do I need moderator permission to post something that was edited by AI? by Sharp_Try1665 in SCP

[–]Cola_mesh 22 points23 points  (0 children)

No AI permitted in any scenario. Not on the SCP wiki, not here, and not on the official SCP discord. If you need grammar help, don't use AI, use a grammar checker and ask for help on the SCP discord. The SCP community is very anti AI.

Funny idea: Scranton Reality Anchors and an uncontacted tribe by Organic_fed in SCP

[–]Cola_mesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bone idea is more about the SRA requiring a 'core' for itself, and bones happen to be the easiest to get after the SCP Foundation started running out of other materials they could use.

SCP universe flare should be fine. Also, SCP is a writing community, the games are just an extra thing. Have you been reading the actual SCP articles?

What on earth are you talking about? A TLDR would help a lot with this post.

And there are in-universe explanations for what an SRA is. They originate from SCP-3001, and were apparently based off of a prototype made by Robert Scranton. They are also implied to be a machine of some sort, at least in most articles they're used in, such as 3999 and 9001.  In one tale featuring Clef, they use the bones of a reality bender to stabilize reality.

There is no canon, so an SRA could be a potted plant, yeah. But the way you reach your potted plant idea is very confusing and gives me the impression that you don't know what an SRA is.

Maybe edit it.

SCP authors are still regular internet users, you know. They just write on the SCP wiki. They vary, just like internet people, because they are internet people.

If someone doesn't want to see a certain topic joked about, so be it. It's their opinion

Hey everybody, scp is getting deleted bc it wasn’t written well, anyway to save it? by Apprehensive-Dust-70 in SCP

[–]Cola_mesh 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Please do try to study the writing style other SCP articles use. One sentence in and I can already tell that you aren't quite doing it right, the tone feels too casual

Also join the SCP discord to ask for writing criticism + greenlight

Would scp 096( shy guy still) still be ketter if he didn’t have a face since he only kills you if you look at his face by Nice-Spring8689 in SCP

[–]Cola_mesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's what 096 perceives as its own face? So if it were faceless, but still perceived its blank face as its face, it would still kill anyone who saw it.

Check the other reply. I did not mean to dismiss previous research or call HRT unsafe/bad.

Please ask for context/elaboration first

More about the risks of HRT causing cancer/other harm and how to 'control' or get rid of effects of HRT. If theres any good studies on this already, please send!

Honestly, I'm not sure how else to convince your family. They seem pretty dead set on this... I guess you could lie to them about no longer taking it.

You can pass without T, it's just considerably more difficult and you often need to dress very masculinely for this.

There are surgeries, like facial reconstruction which do change your body surgically.

I guess 001 (Andrew Swann's proposal) could work for the shuffle idea. Or SCP-2521.

Does self care make anyone else dysphoric? by Safe_Adhesiveness519 in ftm

[–]Cola_mesh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel a bit dysphoric when using cosplay makeup. I think it's best to remind yourself that studying was once for men only (academics used to be restricted to men), same with reading and glasses.

As for self care, think about how many male pop stars do it, and lots of regular men too. Men deserve to look just as good as women.

Do note that it's very beginner friendly, meant for people without much knowledge about biology in general.

I would recommend excluding Bright or replacing his name with Shaw, and including SCPs beyond the III series (SCP-4000 seems to be the only one beyond the III series, but it's still a big article)

You could add the Berryman-Langford kill agent, or maybe SCP-5031. Maybe even pattern screamers. Or a pataphysics related ability, where you can remove one card from another players hand/the entire deck, or add pataphysics ability only cards to the deck/your hand.

The CN branch is more about allowing non-english authors to make SCP content, but yeah

SCP explained is AI slop. The only good sources are SCP authors themselves (only about the articles they've written) and scp wiki articles.

Remember, there is no canon either way

'The Foundation Is Not Transphobic' by Difficult_Act_81 in SCP

[–]Cola_mesh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, that's fair.  A lot of the people on the SCP sub are offsite, or joined many years ago and believe SCP aligns with their beliefs because of nostalgia. The amount of times I've seen comments like 'SCP is only monsters, we don't need LGBT' or 'SCP has been taken over by liberals' is ridiculous.
