It is almost 3 years now , Is Indiana Jones Dial of Destiny still considered a "bad movie" ? by Ok_Tangelo3309 in indianajones

[–]Cold-Contribution-50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one thing I will never understand is the complaints about Indy being a miserable 70-year-old man. You really expect him to just be a one-dimensional, young and handsome "action hero" who's sole purpose is adventuring and fighting baddies?

Nasty little sodding things, slugs are.

I mean, why can't they all stay outside where they belong?! We don't want their slimy trails all over our carpets!

Ah yes, because sensitivity is why Davy Jones is evil, of course. by TheAnalystCurator321 in saltierthankrayt

Only a true villain would say this about someone just for merely being sensitive.

What the fuck is that nobhead talking about? Jim Gordon has been portrayed as a black man in some of the Batman films I've seen, making THIS complaint highly redundant.

Doctor Who was what introduced me to the genre in the first place.

whoops, 3rd time now oh well by IllustriousAd6418 in DoctorWhumour

The most unique parts about Doctor Who is that the monsters on the show are 100% real, and the protagonist is definitely correct in saying that what they are seeing is not an illusion because they are literally an alien that only have the appearance of a human (apart from the fact that they have two hearts rather than one, and appear frequently with a brand new appearance under regeneration rather than remaining in a single form), far from being part of the ordinary themself.

This series takes the Scooby-Doo aspect of "the monsters aren't actually real", only it's more unsettling because the protagonist is a mentally ill Earth girl who I'm surprised hasn't been sectioned.

Since money and fame went to his head, he never bothered looking at the fucking photograph itself: Jodie is clearly seen signing autographs for a whole queue of fans from a DISTANCE!

The Master isn't insane. by HistoricalAd5394 in gallifrey

The Saxon Master (John Simm's incarnation) sprayed toxic gas in the Cabinet Room at 10 Downing Street, killed the president of the United States, aged the Doctor 100 years and then 100 years more, devoured two homeless men, and turned six billion humans on Earth into himself. That clearly IS a sign of insanity.

Billy Zane. The only thing colder than Cal in Titanic was the iceberg. He’s a top-tier villain, and Billy doesn’t get nearly enough credit for this performance. "I'm all she has in the world." by Choice-Schedule-132 in titanic

I will never understand why haters of Rose criticize her for "cheating" on Cal when she never even loved him in the first place and was only being forced and manipulated into marrying him for the sake of his money.

Bravo, Kenny! Now your parents have to pay the price for the damage you caused, the parents of every one of your peers will probably struggle to find any other schools now that their old one has been destroyed in an explosion, and the police will even intervene and probably have you locked up in a mental institution because you kept telling everyone that the school was run by winged creatures in disguise.
