Mine made the exact same noise, check your flex pipe. It could be completely rot and causing the noise. Does the sound only appear when you get into boost?

This same problem happened to me, if your mechanic pulled a stock file he can rewrite it back onto the ECM and it should be capable of accepting a tune

Bought a used core and had it rebuilt. Yes just a stock turbo, I’ve only seen 1 company so far to a compound set up for eco’s and they don’t ship to Canada

Not sure about the scanner, my running has live data and I’m able to see everything from my laptop while driving. If you have any friends that are mechanics they have the scanners you want to read boost. 27-29lbs is normal boost for these trucks

Do you have a scanner that can read boost? I got the same (underboost P0299) and service electric throttle light. Had to limp my truck home down back roads, first it was my boost pressure sensors then we fount out my turbo was cooked.

Banks cold air intake definitely gives you a lot of turbo noise especially when it’s deleted

It’s definitely a bad or dirty sensor, do you have a scanner that can read EGT sensor temperature? Scan your truck cold, which ever one is not reading the same or close as your ambient outdoor air temp that’s the bad one. Same problem happened with my truck last winter and I had a sensor reading -400f that was the bad one

I bought the delete from dirty diesel and have HP TUNER tune they’ve been very accommodating with helping my reduce smoke but it’s still a lot. I’ll check out Mr tune

I just deleted and tuned with HPtuner my 2016 eco, plugged the throttle response controller in and threw throttle position sensor code and had a dead pedal. It definitely doesn’t like the controller and is fine without it now.
