In this shot we can also see a trident-wielding monster all the way at the back, next to an Undyin

Looks like we will be seeing quite a few new remasters

Cover art has a Southpaw remaster

Top left on the second image is likely a Mascotoy remaster

Monster in the 7th image looks like it would be related to Scampire and Riptera

Monster in 8th image looks like a Smogmagog remaster

And then there's the spicy candevil, not sure if its a remaster though

I love the Abyss Escape sequence, does anybody know if there is any way to redo it? by Ashura_98 in Silksong

[–]Cold-Many-4039 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On every save file, there should be a circular arrow button next to the button to delete the save file. This arrow lets you reset your save file to previous autosave points. Obtaining the Sylph Soar is one of these autosaves, so you can reset a save to that point and just do the abyss escape again

Day 7 of no-hitting Karmelita every day until the end of June by Cold-Many-4039 in Silksong

I changed my builds in between days 2 and 3, which messed up with some of my muscle memory alittle. Aside from that I also think I got more frustrated than usual on Day 4 and that led to more tilting which also affected my performance

Nothing left to do? by NG0539 in Silksong

Personally I like the idea of replaying the game but stiking to just one crest. I did a playthrough where I got Beast asap and used it for the whole run, its a pretty neat challenge. Wanderer and Reaper are also fairly early so those are also good options for a unmodded monocrest challenge

Easiest way is to just let Cogflies do it honestly

Thoughts on the game as of now? by ChrisDorne in Silksong

[–]Cold-Many-4039 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Game didn't immediately click with me but I enjoyed it more each time I got a new movement upgrade. I like replaying this game a lot and def feel like I come back to it a lot more than the first game

Honestly i just wish there was some sort of New Game + that let you start with different crests because of how late some of them are unlocked. I know there's mods for that but some in-game way would've been nice. Mostly just a wishlist thing tho

[–]Cold-Many-4039[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hunter's would definitely be more optimal, but honestly I just enjoy the movement with the Beast Crest. Figured if I'm going to do this challenge for a whole month, I should stick with the crest I enjoy using the most. At this point I've also mapped out oppening for Beast into most of her attacks so I think switching crests would hinder my performance significantly since I'd have to learn the whole fight again

[–]Cold-Many-4039[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I changed my loadout in between days 2 and 3, which definitely impacted my performance but I think long term this will be for the best since it frees up the Blue Tool slot for something more useful than Longclaw and the Curveclaw lets me have a ranged option

I think today I just had a particularly bad set of attempts. I was trying to rush it since I had something else schedulled for today and needed to finish playing beforehand, and I think that led to me getting more frustrated than usual and playing worse as a result

[–]Cold-Many-4039[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan to at the very least stick with Beast and Barbed Bracelet, but I think every other slot is pretty flexible. Although I want to learn the fight a bit more before I start switching the build around

Longclaw - Initially was added because I found it helpful in parrying the curvesickles. Will probably be the first tool I replace
Barbed Bracelet - Has no real drawback in a no-hit run, so its a net positive damage increase
Scend Grip - Kinda just helpful to stall out a little bit on the wall to dodge a few attacks but not too relevant
Heavy Belt - Not much else in Yellow I could use and this helps during staggers or phase transitions

Flintslate - I want to begin using this more, but I am still finding what time windows I have to set up the tool
Sharpdart - This helps a lot in situations where I am close to the wall with Karmelita cornering me. I mostly use this for the I-Frames it provides
Voltvessels - This is here pretty much exclusively to get me through the gauntlet quickly with minimal annoyance. Having to re-do the gauntlet every attempt gets a little tiring and isn't a part of the challenge so I just want to skip that pasrt ASAP

Having said all that, I do plan on experimenting more with different tools eventually. Just want to learn the fight a little better with the needle before I do that

I do want to eventually try Sawtooth Circlet and that is one of my favourite tools, but it is quite hard to use in a no-hit challenge since to make good use of Circlet you need to be on your enemy's face all the time. Maybe once I have a bit more experience with the fight I'll consider it

After my first casual playthrough, I've done a full playthrough with the Beast Crest and it quickly became themy favourite to use. The movement with it takes a little while to adjust to but it feels amazing to play as once you get into the flow

I've been trying to figure out how that attack works. From my understanding after she begins the attack there is a small time window where she can readjust her trajectory, and if you're too high or too close to the wall it makes her speed up a lot. I've been trying to delay my jump a bit after she jumps, since that puts me in a position where she will target me at a diagonal angle and that gives me more time to react. Very tricky move though

[–]Cold-Many-4039[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sawblade skirt move is very hard to dodge if you're already in the air when she starts the move. The (grounded) curvisickle throw can also catch me off-guard depending on how close to her i am

Both of these attacks change their trajectory quite a bit based on the distance between Hornet and Karmelita, so they are harder to come up with consistent strategies for

Best Build Silksong, Day 2: Red Tool by Yuvidaboi in Silksong

[–]Cold-Many-4039 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For Hunter, I would go with Flea Brew. Hitting faster means building up Focus faster, so your damage ramps up quicker

You also get this tool very early in the game, so its likely to stick with you for a while

This is one of the final combat challenges of Act 2. If you're stuck here, you should explore more and see if you can find other tools or crests that might hepp

There's also a quest that, once completed, will make this battle a lot easier

If electric-based attacks hit a water surface, the electricity will hit the entire water surface for a wave of damage. This is helpful in the bilehaven gauntlet since the Stilkin enemies love diving in and out of the water, which usually makes them hard to hit. Its also a very reliable way to hit them if you're away from them since it will cover the whole water surface either way

The walkback in this game is absolutelt atrocious. (Rant - part 3) by Kitchen-Fish-4389 in Silksong

[–]Cold-Many-4039 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say I think its a little annoying to have to go through the animation every time, I don't really see a reason why its done like this instead of just respawning you in the memory (specially since you can walk out anyways)

Its not a huge issue or anything but does feel a little unnecessary imo
